:ponder:The Rams have one of the worst interior offensive line trios we’ve seen in quite some time. And despite having a young budding star at running back in second-year pro Todd Gurley, the Rams have been completely ineffective in the run game.
So ineffective, in fact, teams don’t feel the need to bring extra blitzers as the Rams are averaging a paltry 3.3 yards per carry on 226 carries.
If there is one team that Fisher shouldn’t have started Goff’s career against, it is definitely the Dolphins.

The Dolphins have Ndamukong Suh on the interior of their defensive line and line up the NFL’s premier 4-3 pass rusher over the opponent’s right tackle in Cam Wake.
Games like this could legitimately ruin a young quarterback’s career, and seems more like Fisher is willing to ruin the franchise to save his own butt, something he showed time and again as head coach with the Tennessee Titans.
On top of that, the blame on Goff not being ready falls squarely on Fisher’s shoulders, as well as quarterbacks coach Chris Weinke, whose last job was as the head coach of a high school team.
The Rams are a parody of themselves and deserve all the misfortune that has befallen them. Though, Goff himself shouldn’t fall victim to this.

Wow helluva Article. What does everyone else think?

Might be a little over reaction.. What's the article source? I'm going to guess Rams beat writer?

If they bring in extra blockers and run max protection, I think Britt and Austin could be productive. Run screens and counter-runs to keep the defense honest. It won't be a cake walk for Miami.

If given time to throw, even Goff can pick apart a secondary (especially ours). Take away Gurley and their short passing game while putting some heat on the rookie is what needs to happen. Easier said than done obviously. Rams OL is suspect and that's a good thing!

Here's some actual reports and tidbits on Goff.

RSP Boiler Room No.15: Going Deep With QB Jared Goff

One play says a lot about Goff’s arm talent, but even more about his diagnostic skill, feet, and ability to integrate several skills in less than two seconds between snap and throw.

RSP Boiler Room No.29: QB Jared Goff & Pocket Presence

Pocket presence for a quarterback is a lot like vision for a running back. There are several skills required to possess the trait an they must be well-integrated into the player’s decision making process.

As two plays from the UCLA game reveal, Goff’s peripheral vision, timing, movement, and accuracy after evading pressure are all on par with a good starter in the NFL.

Doesn't make me any more optimistic. As a lot of posters point out for our squad, it's a team game. Even if he's shaky, they've managed 4 wins with subpar qb play. And we're not talented enough to just show up to collect the W. Really nobody is...the other guys are getting paid millions and desperately want to continue to do so.

Hopefully VJ prepares some great schemes to confuse the rook and we get quick pressure from the front four leading to some big mistakes. It will start with shutting down the running game and getting them into 3rd and longs. Definitely would help if our O got off to a fast start, putting some points up early to pressure their offense.

I worry more about our line against their pass rush. BA being out isn't going to help.

They should be concerned. They're about to play one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now.

Miami is far from a finished product and will need to play hard and execute on all 3 phases with complimentary football. Otherwise we will lose and go home having lost to a 1st time starter.

Rams also have a top 5 STs & that is always an overlooked aspect in a game. And in case people didn't notice, we aren't world beaters there.
