Report: Ross would like to keep Ireland but will dump him to lure big name coach

I felt the need to leave a comment on that post. Here it is:

I, for one, am not impressed with Ireland's picks. We could have had Ingram and probably Mallett instead of an apparently decent lineman and an already oft-injured, mediocre runningback.

Darren Sproles would have been a much better (and cheaper) free agent pickup than Bush. Everyone and his brother knows that. Especially after watching Sproles this season. He wouldn't have costed a draft pick either.

For being an expert on talent, I'm left unimpressed. I also don't want him asking anymore players if their moms are prostitutes again, or any other ridiculous questions either.

karl dorrell as interim HC would be like rolling the crazy dice

oh lord, fire ireland.

I'm sick of the Cowboys trash in here that are useless.

So many bad draft picks and free agents...

On our current roster, there are only a handful of players other teams would want immediately...

Very good read. I am not impressed with Ireland's work either. If Sparano goes, Ireland has to go as well. They came here together, got into this mess together, and can leave together. I'm sick of both of 'em.

I haven't been to Miami since 2008 so I haven't seen this first hand, but it seems that all the sewage from Dallas and a turd from Houston flows right to Joe Roby Pro Player Dolphins Land Shark Stadium.

I don't know why he's so high on Ireland, he's one of the laziest GM of all time.

Yeah this is all old news...from last off season, just put out again for people that missed it last year.

I do believe Sproles would of been a better pick than Bush. Who is it to say it was not Ross that told Ireland "Get me bush". We have seen both Pouncey and Thomas play. We can agree very good selections! DT right now is playing alot better than Ingram. Enough about Mallet. I dont think he will be as good as people think. Perfect example. I recall almost everyone here saying "Newton wont be a good NFL QB" You know what he has his flaws but that kid is playing crazy. 400+ yrds one game is a fluke wont happen against especially against the Packers D, yet he throws for 400+ yrds again! I honestly say I prefer Newton>Mallet

All the article says is that is it would be crazy for Ross to keep Ireland at the expense of losing out on a coach like Gruden or Cowher.

...Isn't that what happened last offseason? I worry greatly about the right decision being made in this crucial offseason based on how insanely bungled last offseason was.

the bromance between Ireland and Ross is very bizarre to say the least.

Sick of these excuses. First it was Parcells who was the fall guy for all the bad picks, then Ross, then Sparano. Enough with the excuses. If all these different people are picking for Ireland than what the heck we are paying Ireland for?

Well who the hell wouldn't prefer Newton to Mallett at this point? Hindsight is 20/20 and Newton was the first pick in the draft. Mallett was a guy with 1st round ability and value that slipped into the third round.
