Report: Steve Mariucci may be fired Friday.

No but Detroit has a whole lot of talent if you look at their roster on both sides of the ball. They're very young...

Mariucci just sucks. They need to switch from the WCO completely.

bringing in marcus pollard was great. of course, he had 2 dropped passes today. in fact, detroit receivers had what....6 dropped total passes today? hard for any QB to look good like that

good thing they did.

lions getting killed made me some nice money today.

They do have tallent at the skilled positions on offense but the oline has been terrible in all of the 3 games that I have watched them play. Mooch is a good coach but I think they need an attitude overhaul, as in a Tom Coughlin/Bill Parcells type of overhaul. I'm not sure Mooch has the personality for it, he seems like he really cares if the players like him and acts more like thier buddy than the boss. Nothing wrong with that in the right situation but I think they need something different in Detroit like more of a harda$$.

Yeah anyone who watched the game noticed their line folding on every play. It wasn't Harrington's fault he couldn't get anything going, Garcia was better at avoiding the rush but the QB should never be in that situation constantly anyway.

Im watching this game on recast on AFN, Garcias a damn dud. Im sorry but whoever thought this guy can still play is out of their minds. He looks so bad out there. Harrington stinks but he is better than Garcia right now, Garcia cant even throw the ball 10yds past the line of scrimmage. Even the guys calling the game were wondering what that was all about. Harrington's not at fault when Wrs drop passes and the running game cant get a damn yard. Mooch and Millen are the ones that put together this horrid team, why Harrington gets all the blame for this team is beyond me, they are just terrible from the front office on down.

To a degree your right ,but look at how much pressure Carr deals with in Texas? He puts up better #'s than Harrington.Harrington has no confidence in himself at all.He needs to get out of the D.And I agree about Garcia, there's a reason he didn't stick around Clev. very long. And it's not because Dilfer has a huge contract and they had to make room.....

That doesn't suprise me at all. The Lions has been **** ever since he got the coaching job. They have talent, they just don't know how to use it at it's best.

he's a players coach.. with the lions team being soo young it just doesnt work very well... steve M would be better with a team that has some veterens. They should have addressed QB a few years ago.. Joey sucks... he has always sucked and never will changed. Didnt him and Feeley come from the same college? hmm...

I don't know the numbers this year, but every other year Harrington has put up better numbers than Carr with much less fanfare. Harrington was labeled a bust very quickly while David Carr's suckiness slipped under the radar. In the end I think both are bad QB's who got drafted so high because teams love drafting QB's high.

Doesn't look like that it's gonna happen to day, but I would say it's getting close.

Lions | Mariucci firing not likely today
Fri, 25 Nov 2005 13:29:31 -0800

ESPN.com's John Clayton reports Detroit Lions team sources told Clayton that the Ford family, which owns the Lions, is in Florida and not likely to fire head coach Steve Mariucci Friday, Nov. 25. One source close to the Lions situation told ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli that the mood in the team offices on Friday morning was "absolutely business as usual," and another source insisted Mariucci's dismissal was "not imminent." Defensive coordinator Dick Jauron, who would be the most likely candidate to take over as an interim head coach, has not been asked to do so.

Kevin Jones has also sucked this year, can't do good with no run game.
