Report: Wayne not waiting on Peyton Manning to sign

That's according to Albert Breer of the NFL Network who reports that Wayne is more than willing to make his own move and sign with a team before Manning picks his next playing destination.

Here's the fun catch, though, and precisely why I have Wayne as my 22nd-rated free agent this offseason: Wayne could end up recruiting Manning.

Yup, that's right. Let's say, hypothetically, that Wayne ends up signing with the Dolphins (he went to college at Miami, so it's a logical fit). The Dolphins, then, would have a significant advantage over other teams when it comes to appealing to Manning.

Sure, he may have good hands, but he doesn't exactly command the respect from defenses that Wayne would as a number one receiver. Wayne can still pop off an 1,100 yard season...Hartline has yet to come close.
