Was just listening to the finsiders and Trae waynes was asked about the facility and he said he he couldn't say because he never visited us .

how bad are these reporters down here? These guys are a joke . How do you not know if a guy came here or not if you consider yourself a decent reporter .

I love the finsiders .... I'm talking about these other reports by reporters trying to make **** stick
 
Classic... is there a list anywhere of all the players we've met with/worked out?
 
tons of people visit, tons of guys dont...... doesnt mean we are going to draft those that visited or those that didnt
 
If you read Barry Jackson's article it says: "Trae Waynes (who spent private time with Miami on his campus)"

"his" would be Trae. So that would be on the Michigan State campus? So they could have met, just not down at the Dolphins facility.
 
I dont think it means he will or won't be drafted by us . However I do think it means most of what we go by or read is all pure **** .

Thank you. That's exactly the avenue I was going to pursue. Just because they met didn't mean it had to be at the facility.

Sounds like sloppiness from the Finsider crew if they didn't ask that very basic followup question: "Did you meet somewhere else?"

Maybe they did ask it and the OP left it out.

This. The Dolphins have feelers all over the place in different departments, meeting prospects in different locations. Private visits are overrated.

Joe Philbin sleeps in the stands ALL OVER, not just at the combine. :)
 
Waynes is not worthy of a 14. I am thinking Jamar Fletcher.
A big man for OL/DL, WR, or trade out and acquire picks.
 
I haven't seen it say in any paper or on any website that Trae Waynes went to the Dolphin facility. I do see where it says he met with them. He can do that anywhere on God's green earth. Sounds like the complaint is less accurate than the reporting.

Waynes is a grown man playing CB with only an aging Grimes as the surest thing on the roster. Fletcher was small, we had Madison and Surtain, and there were much better options available at WR and even a QB named Brees. Miami just whiffed on this pick.

Waynes would be a great pick for Miami . . . I don't think he makes it.

Ill take it as fact that you say he is a grown man. If we pick him at 14, just horrible is all I can say. He is not a special player, just the best DB in a weak class IMHO.
