I don't have reservations but I also don't understand how some posters are convinced he's a genius. I just viewed a laundry list of superlatives in another thread that make Lazor seem like a combination of Bill Walsh, John Wooden and Al Scates.
His Virginia offenses were moderate. I watch tons of ACC football. Those teams were not particularly talented so I never cared to focus on the offensive coordinator. They did have a strange tendency to change quarterbacks during a game but my impression was that it was Mike London's preference.
I like his age. I'm convinced you're supposed to take a swing at high upside with candidates in their 30s or early 40s. That was one of the problems I had with the Philbin choice. Heck, he's my age and I'm already getting forgetful. Plus I've lost distance on the golf course. We need altitude in Miami. That's such a cheap rescue of 30 yards.
