Reshad Jones ****ing Blows

Secondaries across the entire league looked awful this weekend. It's a direct result of the lockout. Guys in the secondary need more preparation time than any other unit during OTA's and camp.

Reshad Jones will be fine.

Stop looking at tackles. It doesnt tell any of the story, especially if your FS is getting all the tackles.

The thing is Mr. Horry, this is his third game starting in his career. He got burned a few times by the best in the business. We know what we have in CC. Obviously that wasn't enough for Nolan. Jones did some things today but he also got pwnd a few times. I think that should be expected.

see,I dont think he sucks...I think its just a combination of inexperience, and the fact that Jones is playing out of place.I thought he could play FS off of what he showed against Tennessee last year, but he even had me fooled.Jones is a SS in frame, and a SS at play. He tends to peek into the backfield too much, and play towards the RB(usually a SS's tendencies) and he gets burned for it.

you play with fire.....

I never wanted Jones to start over Clemons. I know Clemons on a semi personal realationship. Great dude. But I wanted to see Jones in a real game. He blew tonight. I ddnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that one. I fully expect Clemons to be back there next week.

All of this woulf've been solved by signing Atogwe.

i never viewed Jones as a FS i always thought he was more of a SS to replace bell and us getting a better FS that can cover...

anyways its not jones problem that our nickel and dime cornerback don't know where to line up when there is no huddle if theres anyone you should be talking about in the secondary its Sapp and Nolan

I like the potential of Jones and have supported him but Rob is absolutely right here. Jones was bad tonight. Worse than bad. He was aggressive and generally tackled well but that's not nearly his entire job description. He was completely overmatched by the scheme and the pace and it showed. Clemons would have been a much better matchup for us back there. Absolutely. Even supporting Jones I said that before this game.

I'm with ya, I'd rather have Clemons back there man. But I mean Jones is young, he'll get the hang of it eventually.

But J is right. Every secondary in the league looked like dog**** this weekend. All of them.

Secondary units and offensive line units...both need more preparation time than any other units on a team. All of these crazy offensive statistics that we seen this weekend...we're gonna see it for a few weeks IMO.

Cam Newton threw for 400+. Henne threw 400+. Brady goes 500+. NUMEROUS others go 300+.

It's going to be very difficult to get a real read on teams this year because of the lockout.

On the other hand, Kyle Orton is playing pretty bad against the Raiders. Not that I'm surprised....

Thank you.

Terrible communication. Sean Smith was making half the calls with Bell because Jones has no idea what he's doing. Yet when hes single high, he doesn't notice Carroll is getting picked on constantly and decides not to shade his side.

No kidding come on! Carroll was getting beat by Branch... hm maybe the safety should help!

Jones has potential. His first start at FS with less prerperation than most secondarys in the offseason. He had some hiccups and he also had some good moments.

How would Clemons of been diffrent than Jones?
