He cannot stop biting on playaction fakes. He'll be a good SS for us next year but we need a Centerfielder back there. Hopefully Clemons comes back next week.

I like Reshad, he's still young and very undisciplined still. He freelances too much back there. Still as bad as I think he has been in pass coverage at FS, you almost have to keep him in there some how because the Defenses lack of playmakers is truly evident. I'm all for benching Bell, putting Reshad at SS and Clemmons at FS.

Yea right dude hes the savior.

He's the play making FS polomalu like that we need. Clemons never makes a play, hes a safe guy, and hes never around the ball.

Can we stop calling Jones a playmaker? What plays is he making? He is awful and has contributed to multiple touchdowns already this season.

Better as a SS which has what we have said all along.

Absolutely. When Clemons returns I expect our pass D to improve. I love how everyone hailed Jones as being so good. But c'mon man, he's only a second year player. But he was downright dreadful. For all his "play making" ability, he sure hasn't made too many.

All of the S's suck IMO. That is the position that is holding the D back from becoming very good. These guys don't make plays, no int's, no big hits on WR's for coming over the middle, and they're nowhere to be found on every deep ball attempted by opposing QB's.

Jones is playing poor, but Nolan Carrol is making him look even worse. I can't put into words how dissapointing this D is after being praised as elite.

I hope thats Sarcasm lol.

It's amazing how many more deep passes are being completed against us these last two games with Jones in. All they have to do is play action fake and throw it over the top of Jones because he won't be in position. He needs to be getting 2 picks a game with all the negative plays he's contributing.

Clemons isn't a flashy player but our pass D looks a lot better with him in there. Right now, I'll take the safe Clemons over Jones because we aren't getting any takeaways right now anyways. Plus people's opinion of Clemons would be different if they remembered who caused the fumble against Big Ben at the goal line last year.

I've been rooting for Reshad Jones because this defense desperately needs a difference maker. There is not a guy it that secondary who comes anywhere close to that except for Jones. I can understand if some think the experiment has already failed, but I know that the experiment was about the only way that this team could go from mediocre to better (at least with this roster).

I don't know if Reshad Jones is the answer but I'd give him more than two tough games to find out. I've seen enough of Chris Clemons to know he isn't the answer

Clemons would be fine if there were other pieces in the secondary that could generate more positive plays. He's not the problem, the entire secondary from top to bottom is.

Maybe if you had 3 pro-bowlers but Clemons plays the #1 playmaking position in the secondary. These days the good teams tend to have a free safety that is a threat to score. It's not like the rest of his game is good either - 10 missed tackles and 118 passer rating against him last season
