Yeah 2 games, we suck on defense that is horribly overrated, only 3 or 4 good player on it, offense has some potential, but has to be consistent to be good. everybody else in our division is 2-0, werer 0-2, with a division loss, you really think we can beat any team in our division? I don't

Dude what are you even talking about, we were #6 in the NFL and lost 2 starters. Crowder and Clemons. So apparently those 2 are pretty big losses to our defense.

Smith has still given up a TD pass and a pass to the half yard line. I do think that Smith is getting picked on less right now just because why throw his direction when you've got Andre Johnson on Nolan Carroll, or Wes Welker on Benny Sapp. He doesn't generate positive plays: no picks or big passes defensed in key situations.

Remeber NY last year, dude was killing them by himself.

He isn't getting picked on because he is locking down his man. Even when Vonate is out there, you know Revis Jr ().

Our defense should not of been ranked anywhere near 6th. Played good against subpar QBs, pretty bad against good QBs.

Also it really helped them that teams could put up 14 points against us and then coast for the rest of the game knowing our offense couldn't score that much.

It's amazing how many more deep passes are being completed against us these last two games with Jones in. All they have to do is play action fake and throw it over the top of Jones because he won't be in position. He needs to be getting 2 picks a game with all the negative plays he's contributing.

Clemons isn't a flashy player but our pass D looks a lot better with him in there. Right now, I'll take the safe Clemons over Jones because we aren't getting any takeaways right now anyways. Plus people's opinion of Clemons would be different if they remembered who caused the fumble against Big Ben at the goal line last year.

Hey, Derek Hagan just had to work on his hands too and he would have been a star. He's somehow been in the league for like 8 years and is still working on that catching the ball thing. Maybe Clemons can get there in 3-4 years.

lol yea but hagan is a WR, his job is to catch. He actually is a decent backup WR option besides for us.

LoL i am convinced 90 percent of this board is just as clueless as our coaching staff. at least half of these ppl want to put in "play makers" that cost us games. Rashad Jones has been god awful now. Clemons was much better. Many of you guys loving jones are probably the same group who "hated loud mouth crowder" and loved the burnett signing. this group likes the IDEA of certain "upgrades" and "big plays" yet forgets about playing SOLID and winning games. Smith has been solid in coverage mostly. Yet the oft injured and oft burned vontae is the favorite here.

and the sad part is im starting to beleive sparano bases his decisions off these boards b/c his snap judgements and reaches on "playmakers" etc have been pretty bad this season.

If Sparano really listened to this board, Chad Henne would have been replaced. As it is, you can't blame fans for wanting more than "playing solid", which has also translated to "mediocre" and "missing the playoffs because you don't make plays that win football games". I think we'd rather see us take a chance and fail than do the exact same thing that has absolutely not lead us to winning enough football games the last two years.

I'm with you on Clemons, if he pulled down half the INT's he got his hands on than he'd be a "playmaker."
