First of all, what a win yesterday. The Tannehill/Gase combo always find ways to win close games.

I wanted to bring up Reshad Jones, I remember many here stating Reshad Jones is overrated, is a glorified SS, is easily replaceable, didn't deserve his contract, etc. I never had that mindset, and I think we saw why yesterday. Even though the defense settled down after the first quarter, you could tell he was missed. He's a leader of this team, whether it be commanding the DB's and making sure they are aligned properly, being in the right position to make plays (he's second in interceptions on our team this season) or coming in to stop the run (we could have used him for some of the marshawn lynch runs) he is a vital part of our defense and it is easy to see why. Although I do love what Minkah offers, he needs more experience and TJ Mcdonald worries me in coverage (he had an easy drop, good thing X bailed him out lol) I can't recall Reshad dropping any easy INTs, his hands seem like a sure thing to me.

My point is, I think we need Reshad back ASAP, especially against New England, as he will help with run support and also improve our turnover potential, otherwise we could be exposed in the pass game AS WELL as the run game.
 
Glad we won and that he could rest his shoulder last week but yeah we was definitely missed. TJ McDonald just doesn’t hold a candle to him. I think Minkah should only get better the more FS plays

You had me at "people think Jones is overrated". That's crazy talk. Is this post for real? I mean if anything people think hes underrated and real Fins fans know exactly how valuable he is. Jones is a baller and I hope hes back Sunday. We'll need him

I expect Jones to play Sunday. Injury did not sound major, he can play thru pain, and I don't think this is a game he will allow himself to miss.
 
I’ve never heard anyone say that is a dolphin fan that RJ is overrated, guy was a fifth round pick.

It all ended up working out really well for us Sunday.

Reshad was able to rest his arm and get closer to healthy for New England.

Fitz was thrown into the fire, took his lumps, and recovered in game. I think he performed admirably with the captain of the secondary out. A lot of rookies would get torched badly.

And...we won!
 
I think Jones is a good player and we missed him yesterday and at the same time......his contract is crazy. If Jones is not on the team in 2019 it'd cost us over 23mill on dead money while making 17mill if he's on the team. He's not overrated but his contract is huge, specially for a SS.
