Resign Dansby in free agency?

Assuming Joe had a significant say in his departure, ask yourself if this is a logical idea, smh.

That would be a horrible decision. I clearly saw an improvement with linebacker coverage when he left. He seems to be ok in the Cardinals scheme, but he was horrible in coverage with the Dolphins scheme.

Ellerbe was significantly better in coverage than Dansby within our scheme. That occurred within his first year in the scheme. We took a step back versus the run, but my preference is coverage skills in today's NFL.
 
He'd be a great signing, but no chance he'd come back here.

I have nothing to back this up but I don't agree. We were much better at covering TE's in 2012 as we gave up 1 or 2 TD's to TE's all season. We surpassed that in week 2 in 2013. Also I remember Dansby knocking backs down before they had a chance to release. We should just all be able to admit that Karlos Dansby is a better player than Dannell Ellerbee with no hurt feelings because its the truth.
 
Not sure philbin didn't want him. I believe Sherman had a lot to do with that. Dansby could be a nice signing, we cleared cap space by cutting him and we get him back cheaper...excellent move!

I don't see Ellerbee as better in coverage, but against the run he was among the worst and his pass rush was way overrated the previous year because he had pass rushers around him.
soon Ellerbee will be making 9 million to be a below average LB and nobody will be calling him Ellerbeast. Never seen a guy do so little in his career and the dolphins just back up a cash truck.

That almost never happens. Dansby has always been a good at worst ILB while Ellebee has been sitting on the bench behind McLain in Balt and had one good season but ole Jffy Ireland wants to outbid himself.
