The Dolphins are expected to be anywhere from 17-24 MIllion under the salary cap and after releasing some overpaid veterans , we should be in a much better financial situation.

The players we resign should be Vonnie Holliday, Keith Traylor, Yermiah Bell, Donnie Jones and Wes Welker. This should total about 7 million Dollars.

The Dolphins have so many people who said get the ax this off-season which include G Bennie Anderson, G Jeno James, G LJ Shelton,, C/G Seth McKinney, DT Jeff Zgonia, DT Dan Wilkinson, LB Donnie SPragan, S Traveres Tillman, K Olindo Mare, T Damien MacIntosh, and DE KEvin Carter. Releasing these players should free another 15-20 million.

Kevin Carter is a tough one but Matt Roth can play and he is showing signs of it every week. He is becoming a sack machine. I know it's a lot of offensive line but their play has been offensive and it's time for us to get some new faces on the line.

do you really wanna go into next season again with a brand new offensive line that will once again need time to gel and get off to a slow start?

I think we would be better served finding WR's that can seperate and catch the ball. iIt would help the Oline without replacing them. We need someone like Steve Smith, a WR that doesn't seem invisible half the time. We need playmakers.

Jeno James and McKinney both stay. Both offer durability, and can be moved around the line. Something that is great when using them as depth players. We only bring in one or two FA o-line. The two we bring in will start with Carey, James, and Hadnot. What we need is ideally a guard and a tackle. However don't be surprised if guys like McKinney and Shelton make a show for themselves, as they too will be competing for the start. I think both McKinney and Shelton offer great depth.

None of the 20 Dolphins who are unsigned after this season have gotten contract extensions and none are likely to. It's not that coach Nick Saban doesn't like his future unsigned players. The problem is, Miami's salary cap is stretched to near capacity, with the team within $730,000 of the $102 million limit.

Keith Traylor won't and shouldn't be re-signed. He's 38 years old for crying out loud. We need youth as well as a player who can play all 16 games and be healthy. Traylor is way over the hill. And Roth will take over for Carter. Carter's cap number is too darn big to justify keeping him. Plus, Carter is 34 years old.

Vonnie Holliday- He's going to get a significantly bigger paycheck then he has now at one of the easier to replace positions on the DL.

Keith Traylor- He's almost certainly retiring. He's 37, and when he signed he said he was going to retire when he contract was up.

DT Dan Wilkinson- Who is going to play NT?

LB Donnie Spragan- Who is going to play SOLB? He's backup cheap.

DE Kevin Carter- Kevin Carter can play Holliday's DT position easily.

I think Carter resigns at a reduced contract. Guy is still a heck of a player. He has the heart, and is a strong leader on the defense.

i like K. Carter...geez i hope we can re-sign him

i also like V. Holliday...i hope we can re-sign him as well.

Y. Bell has been solid...he has to stay.

That big LG that has been getting some playing time...I think he might take over for J. James.

McKintosh looked horrible last Sunday...but he's been playing well...I don't know if its such a good idea to let him go.

Go Fins!!!

Agreed, Carter is still a beast. I think he will do whatever he can to help the team.

besides we should get Ricky back!!!!

Getting Ricky back dosen't mean he's going to stay around. He's consistently disapoint us because he can't pass a drug test to save his life. Besides he's already said he wants to stay in Canada so let him. We don't someone who is as unaccountable as him even if he does have talent.

I think Holiday and Traylor alone are about 7 million...Welker is in a contract year and should get a better contract will i would assume around a mil or more for a signing bonus...These players probably account for closer to 10 million
