Went back and watched NFL Countdown from yesterday. Early in the show they had a piece on Brady and then talked about him and Gronk. They went live to Miami and talked with the girl there about New England. That was all mentioned in the show. Really nothing about Miami mentioned the rest of the 3 hours.

Fox, nothing.

Later on NBC Sunday Night Countdown: Showed Patriot highlights and then Knowshon's TD. Nothing really mentioned other than some Patriot sound bites after the loss. No sound bites from the winners.

ESPN (didn't see the late sports center) Early Sportscenter: Showed Patriot highlights, a Wake sack and Knowshon's TD. Played a clip of Tannehill talking and then the talking heads talked more about Patriots loss. Making note that they haven't lost an opener since 2003.

NFL Network: Showed mainly Patriot highlights and then at 20-13 they started showing Dolphins highlights. Main talk was about the Patriots but Deion did mention "Not to take anything away from Miami....but.".

Haven't heard anything from Berman yet (but he never gives Miami their just due). :chuckle:

I am sure that will change this week, right? :lol2:

Peter King and Dungy were both very positive about the Phins

Who cares?

Do you respect your team? That's all that matters.

HELL YES I DO.

What I hated more than anything was all the, "what's wrong with New England" talk last night rather than the "Miami just totally b-slapped New England". The latter is the truth and instead most focused on the New England aspect of the story.

Dungy on NBC...

and as pointed out King in his Weekly MMQB ( one of the better weekly reads)

What's wrong with New England, I'll tell you, they played the Dolphins that's what's wrong, the Dolphins ****ed them up.

Rodney Harrison gave us props last night as one of his week 1 surprises.

I love my team and it gets tiresome that we don't get more, but the fact is they respect you when you win more than once. We don't get enough respect, but we were all clamouring for respect last year after beating the Pats, and did we really deserve it in the end? I wouldn't get too hung up on it, when we become happy 10+ weeks out of the year for a couple years the media won't hesitate to sing our praise. How long were the Seahawks the Craphawks? Win ballgames often and you'll earn the respect, we haven't done enough for too long.

Win more.. We will get respected

This. I was upset about the lack of respect after we beat them last year. We followed this up by losing two straight and missing the playoffs. We will get credit when we start to do it consistently, until then we don't really deserve it.

get NESN on my cable. had to watch some of the dennis and Callahan show and 2 of the 3 homers have pats going 14-2 still and the other is more realistic at 11-5
