Practice Squad
When Shula retired it started a chain of events that would enentually bring the Dolphins to a 4-12 record. How could a team with so much tradition and honor be allowed to slip into such to such a low level. We have to credit Jimmy Johnson for starting the land-slide. The way he limited Marino, instead of useing the talant he had available. Insisting on a running game that he never produced, and casting a cloud of darkness over the last years of one of the greatest QBs to ever to play the game. He then cinched our demise be hand delivering Dave @%#*&$ Winny.
This guy was never able to get it together. if the season started out great, he could'nt close the deal. He got us a running game with Ricky but gave up the farm to do it. (WE're stillwaiting to see if that will ever pay off). He built a great defence, but never gave them an offence. Every year he would make Feidler fight for the starting QB position instead of building his confidence and allowing him to feel like that was his team. By 2004 he had created such a miserable enviroment for the Dolphins team, and alienated himself so far from his team that he wasn't even aware that he had a pot head RB that was about to depart on spirital retreat a week before training camp. Sure Ricky punked out, but that was Winny's team and he should have been aware of a player that was that unstable. Even without your starting RB, he still had a very respectable defence, and reciving squad. A 4-12 record is absurd. Any IDIOT could have produce a 4-12 record with that mush talent.
The Dolphins are a team of tradition and greatness. We bulster the winningest coach ever, argueably the best QB ever, 17-0 the ONLY undefeated team in the history of profesional sports. Only two seasons under 500 ever. It is time for this team to return to it rightful place in the NFL, the top. Coach Sabin has a no BS history, and approach and that is what the doctor ordered.
The title sums it all up RESPECT. It's not alot to ask.
