I'm over here now
Can Wayne swing it where Randy stays as GM and Dom stays as DC? Bring in an Offensive minded coach and keep the Defensive philosphies in place?

I think Randy would take it if he is given more GM authority.

Would Dom take this or would he want to be HC or nothing?

I think this would be our best situation.

Get Capers as coach(keep Randy) hire Mora as OC.Same Defensive philosiphy.

I think this is a very good option, if Wayne's able to swing it. I definitely think we need an offensive minded HC, and a new OC.

Dom isn't staying. It's possible one or at the outside two assistants who aren't coordinators may stay behind, but that's about it. We went through this two years ago...remember? Bates didn't stay. Capers isn't staying. It's sad, yes. It may lead to Jason Taylor's retirement, yes. That's just the hand that has been dealt. Dom will be the head coach or will be with a different team.

Mueller is a different story. If he is given control over the coach, he may stay. If the coach has total control, he'll be here through the draft and will then be replaced just like Rick.

The bottom line is that it's not going to work any differently this time than it did two years ago. I know this is a buzzkill, but it's the reality.

the only way Capers stays is if two things happen-A-we hire him as head coach and B-we hire a coach that runs a 3-4 scheme-

I don't think Dom is leaving. I totally disagree. He'll be right here as head coach or with a nice salary bump. Wayne will see to that.

This would be a nice set up. Wayne should give Mueller full GM responsibilities. Capers is not HC material.

However, a new coach brings his own staff. I do think the staff will be smaller. Capers would be a good DC, if we stick with the 3-4. Mularkey is questionable.

The only way we keep Dom is if he's the head coach next year. As far as Mueller, I'm not against keeping him but I'm still not sold on him. The reason why I'm not is because if we want to get the absolute best coach our leverage is giving him full control. The reason why I'm not against it is because recent memory has told us that coaches that run the organization and are head coach just don't work out. It's a tough decision but definitely the front office needs to be in place before the Dolphins pick a coach!
