Returning Miami Dolphins players could put defense over the top

Allen could still be a solid backup even though he has not seen the field in a long time. Eds is still unproven and hopefully he will be pretty decent. Jared should be pretty good considering he was a 1st rounder. Not sure why hes listed so low on the depth but you would think that he will either be a starter or very solid backup this season......unless he is a huge bust......Good to have them all back....hopefully they can help us

How do people who are paid to be knowledgable about this team not know that edds was a 4th round pick? come on now...

I think those 3 guys, combined with JT, 2nd year improvements from Reshad Jones and Koa Misi, upgrade next to Dansby and contributions from a sleeper rookie in Jimmy Wilson could be the trick for this defense. I definitely think this defense has the ability to take that next step as a top defense in 2011. I really think the key will be at the safety position. If one of the youngsters can step up and become a playmaker in the back 4 . . . this defense could be elite as soon as this season.

Allen was a great player, our #1 corner until his injuries and prior to Vontae. It has been a long time since we have seen him on the field, but he should be fully recovered so I think we can expect him to challenge for the #2 corner spot. Sean Smith is a nice player, but his height works against him against the smaller quicker players. Against taller receivers, he does the job.
I think Allen will reclaim his measure of respect. It just adds another stud to an already stout defense.

Our D is looking reaaal solid this year. Only weak spot I see is at FS, and hopefully Reshad Jones will surprise us this year and take over as a starter.

No mention of how Edds is doing in practice at all. I seem to remember comments from Tony last year that he was struggling a bit to absorb the pro systems. With a year of study time, I'd like to hope he's a little more clued up and can make an impact.

All quiet on the western front though. Is he in the 2nd string defense?.
