Over the past few seasons, the Miami Dolphins have desperately gone the veteran route at the receiver position. First it was Brandon Marshall, who wore out his welcome in South Beach after just two seasons. Next, it was Chad Ochocinco, who got cut during training camp after getting arrested for domestic battery against his wife.
Miami then went out and handed Mike Wallace a $60 million contract in March 2013. Like Marshall, Wallace lasted just two years in Miami before getting shipped out of town in March.
With Ryan Tannehill on the cusp of becoming a top-10 quarterback and the franchise desperate for a playoff appearance, Dolphins brass went out and revamped the receiver group this offseason. After adding several established veterans and a high-upside rookie to the mix, maybe Miami’s passing game will take the next step and get the team over the hump this year.
Let’s take a look at Miami’s receiver depth chart as training camp gets underway.

Im very excited about the receivers this year, I saw a friend of mine today who is a fins fan, he goes what do you think of the team this year? My first answer, I cant wait to see these receivers in action, they are going to be great. He 100% agreed on just how big of an improvement they will be.

I'm really interested in watching the fight for the 5th spot, any chance we use 6 this year?

I am so excited about this team and our receivers a big part of that. This is easily the deepest and most talented group I can remember having since I've been a Dolphins fan. My only concern is how Tannehill will mesh with our new additions. I think they are a better fit for his skill set but the trust factor is hard to generate in just one training camp.

Still find it amusing that some people actually think Landry runs a 4.77 40.

(Not regarding this article)

But it amuses me how people see bleacher report and automatically think something is trash, yet they receive a website like this with open arms.

Todays Pigskin is exactly what Bleacher Report was 5 years ago, except not nearly as popular. But, their writers do get paid some, which Bleacher Report couldn't offer in its infancy.

Warfield is the greatest Dolphin receiver from a talent perspectative....he played in a running era unfortunately so his stats pale in comparison......but he is the best weve ever had.

Getting paired early in their careers with Tannehill bodes well for both Landry and Parker....and gives both of them a great shot at all the Dolphin receiving records.

Much like Duper & Clayton getting paired with Marino early.

I hope they all grow and become great together, but I hope we can keep Stills and he develops nicely here with Tannehill as a deep threat. I believe we have him 2 years on rookie deal. He'll want to be paid decently. Getting our cap around to keep all 3 in their primes could be a problem.

I really think A LOT of our fans don't realize he pulled his hamstring running it. Or strained it, can't remember exactly.

Two conflicting reports of a pro day.

4.51 and 4.58

I'd guess the slower time is closer to the actual, because that site lists his correct combine time and the other site says he ran a 4.65 at the combine

I haven't watched Parker in a fins uniform yet, but I hope will be mentioned with all the Fins great WR's...and there has been many of them.
Along with Warfield, Duper, and Clayton was Irving Fryar. If Parker can put up stats like those 4 players, he will be a pro bowl player.
RT17 needs to run a few keepers to get warmed up and then start launching deep passes to our WR's.

Next, it was Chad Ochocinco, who got cut during training camp after getting arrested for domestic battery against his wife.

Off topic, but in retrospect after all the subsequent domestic violence issues with baltimore, carolina, etc, Miami actually handled that one the right way from the get-go.

heck yeah i'm excited to see our offense in action this year - and the defense for that matter - lots to be excited about as a fins fan.
