Revamped Dolphins Receiver Group Ready to Shine in Miami

I know Orande Gadsen didn't put up the ridiculous starts a lot of other receivers did, but he's still one of my favorite Dolphin receivers.

I'm hoping that Parker is ready for some playing time by the 3rd preseason game. If not, putting him into game #4 seems risky and don't see him being a starter to open the season, maybe taking to the bye to fit in.

Landry doesn't run 4.77 . I don't think the writer follows the team.

Exactly. I'm hoping he's close to full speed for game 3. If not, there's no reason to even play him in 4. Thankfully this new depth we have makes it easier to integrate him slowly.

I think Parker had an outside chance at offensive rookie of the year if not for the surgery. I loved him before the draft and thought he was the most pro ready receiver coming out on par with the Alabama receiver.

OdB jr, only started 11 games last year and still came away with the award, so Parker still has a chance. Though, he will be stepping into a much more talented overall receiving corp than the Giants had/have.

I agree with the OP.

I think the addition of Jennings will be much bigger than many think. He is still a great route runner, and will be a great leader for all three young WR that we have. 2 years of Jennings being a leader and still getting 600 yards a year would be great, whilst stills, Parker and Landry all get a bit more. After 2 years Stills and Parker should be our starting 2 with Landry as the best slot in the game.

I can also see Matthews being traded afte a few weeks, maybe due to injury from another teams starter. He is good, but that's about it. He wont get a lot of playing time.

Then we have the Tight ends. And the running backs.

Nice problem too have.

Just saw an article on bleacher report, about best available FA's. Obviously Wayne is on that list. He said this past week that teams were interested. With Parker's injury and Matthews status in the air, I think this could unfold. Also on the list were Mathis and Briggs, with Miami being best fits.

i think New Orleans would be a good spot for Reggie Wayne. i don't think we need another WR. Mathews' status has been up in the air because of the depth we have at the position. if Parker can't go early on, Mathews will be #4. we'll be fine either way.

Agree on Jennings. I saw McDuff, Drayton, etc on Finsiders a couple of weeks ago, and they were asked which position benefits most by a vet mentor. They all said WR, and OJ said most every player would answer the same. I'm thinking Parker will be learning a lot while injured. Jennings turned out to be an ideal signing for not only Parker but Stills, Landry, and Matthews.

This receiving squad has me extremely excited, and the best part, the player I am looking forward to seeing play most, does not have to start, and does not have to get huge amounts of playing time for the receiving to succeed, or look good.

As long as Parker is ready to start by after the bye or at worse mid-season, Miami is going to be in good shape...add to that, Miami hopefully finally having a consistent O-line, and this season is going to be fun.

Now, let's hope that Tannehill can connect better with Stills and Parker over the top than he did with Wallace. This offense will be hitting on all cylinders if we can keep the safeties honest.
