All this talk of all this talent that the Jets have of a tough defense and blitzes and this and that, I just had to turn on the DVR to review.

Some things started to occur to me:

Farve is an experienced Vet vs. Sanchez particularly on the road

Laverneous Coles was the stud WR of that game and is someone who has always given us problems. He scored one TD and the 2 point conversion and had about 4/5 catches for 70-80 yds.Stuckey had a key play for first down on 3rd and long with some YAC. He had 3 key catches. Cotchery also made some very key catches but we covered him pretty good overall.

Our D pretty much held Jones and Washington to around 70-80 yds rushing combined. Thats while worrying about Farve instead of Dirty.

Andre Goodman had two good interceptions of Farve and he is now gone. We didnt sack Farve at all cus of the quick passes. The Jets are traditionally and quick hit pass game with shottenheimer. I dont see why that will change for the rookie anytime soon especially considering cotchery's injury and Edwards a newbie and stuckey gone. I see alot of 4 down line rush on 3rd down here with little blitzing.

The TE coverage on Keller was good most of the game. Tyrone Culver covered him pretty well and he is a good tackler.

Our Oline did very well considering Alleman and Ndukwe were playing. Individually, they were both a little lost. We have our two starters now and I can see why the WC will work well in this game regardless of Sexy Rexy's Ravens D.

Ronnie and Ricky then finished the game off with bigger runs of 10+. Much like they did vs. Buffalo.

Kris Jenkins was a little worn out come 4th qtr as witnessed by the L. Polite run up the middle while running backwards pressed up against the driving Jake Long.

Ravens D stopped WC by plugging two LB's in the gut, but we ran very successfully vs. Jets on the outside. The WC runs Ricky to the right, away from Pace's side and Ronnie ussually follows to the right side of line. Pace is left to hesitate to see if Ronnie goes left. This is why the WC works. Outside guys have to stay there lanes and not commit unitil its a little late.

I can see Henne getting sacked in this one a couple of times. I just hope he doesnt fumble the ball away like Pennington did at the 30 yard line of the Jets on a good drive no less. Live to fight another play and punt the Jets down in the endzone so our loud fans can make the rookie squirm.

Overall, Our D did quite well stopping the run game of the Jets. I think there biggest run was the direct snap to Jones while Farve faked the receiving the snap. Such a gimmick play.

I know what Jets fans would say. That was then and this is now. Well, same could be said for us. I could actually see Henne doing better in this game than Pennington did in his cus of the depleted DB's. Revis will be stayed away from but I see Camarillo and Bess and Hartline doind some first down damage. I wonder if they have Turner playing in this one too for the red zone or quick hitches where the big guy would have some fun.

I see Fins 23 Jets 13

THere is no point in looking at last years game against us, we are a different team this year. We have a new defensive scheme, and some new players. And Brett Favre had a bummed shoulder at that point, Sanchez is a upgrade no doubt over a 38 year old Favre who was injured. Sanchez at least is accurate and is a threat with his legs too, hes great at throwing on the run and can pick up a first down with his legs.

And also, you can't look at our play book offensively last year and think that is what we'll do this year. Schotty was held back with what he could use, we "dumb" up our playbook for Favre because he didn't like certain things, like the motions we use.
