anyone have info on how MM called his plays in buffalo and pitts regarding run compared to pass? he came in here run heavy and is our TE coach b/c he was stupid and just amazingly pass happy. that took away his so called "analysist" to be corretc.

I ask this b/c i want to know if he was like that until he came to miami. If so, i'd like to follow CC and see how he goes about it. He was pretty run happy in SD and likes to throw short to medium passes ala MM. I hope he doenst turn out to same, being hte total opposite then hwat he was and if so then the problem clearly lies with the organization/personnel/so forth and not the coaches cordinators etc.

You seen MM playcalling last year. He was the same way in Buffalo. I mean the only coach I could think of that would take your playmaker off the field in 3rd down (McGahee). Lot of trick plays that never worked. And left the run way to early

why is mcgahee being shopped? hes a very damn good back whats up with that?

because mainly his comments about moving the team. And demanding to be paid as a top five back after a very mediocre year. He might be a Giant, and Lynch might be a Bill at 12. If they get enough for Willis

Absolutely, he just made horrible calls at the wrong time...I mean, I like the trick plays from time to time, thats ok, but, he had the worst timeing i have ever seen, or maybe its just cause i paid more attention because he was miami's OC.

That halfback pass he called inside the 5 yard line was just horrible, WHY?

he mainly did it b/c the other team wouldnt expect it. as they didnt and if BOOKER our POS WR that nevre stands on his feet didnt fall would have caught the pass and if he did all of you fans would be on his jock for the play claling.

Yeah but Marv in the front office wants a RB like Thurman, and alot of talk saying Lynch is that

I think he would be a good fit for you guys, or a lot of teams for that matter...Im pretty high on him too!!!

P.S. Doesnt everyone want a back like THURMALL!!! He was a stud for years...gosh i hated seeing him shread our defense all those years!:boohoo:

Yeah thats what we are hoping happens. It all Depends on what we can get for Willis.

See now about MM alot of Bills fans liked him. He was noted as an offensive guru, but now that being said it seemed like he tried to outsmart himself. He and Donahoe were completely responsible for the bad handling of a young QB as well. So actually the best thing for you all I think would be keep him as far from calling offensive plays. Specially if you are starting Quinn, or DC (with his weak mind) for that matter. He will kill QBs development

Nope, not me brother...like i said, i do like the trickplays from time to time, but you cant live by them, they cant be the staple of the offense...and not in that situation at the goal line, maybe a little further out, but that play helped us to lose that game. IF BOOKER HADNT FELL, AND IF HE WOULD HAVE CAUGHT IT!!! A lot of ifs, how bout handin it off to our bull RB and letting him pound it in!!!:D Sometimes a little bit of conservativism is a good thing, especially that close in.

Right on, he is a smart OC IMO, and i think he devises good plays and all...I really do. His problem, as you said, and many of the other GURU OC's problems is that they DO seem to outsmart themselves from time to time. Try to get too cute at times, have the wrong timing, thats what im saying. Much like Mike Martz does at times, or how Spurrier did in the NFL.

It happens to teams from time to time, I mean SD had play-calling issues in NE playoff.

But with MM it seems like it is the Norm rather than the exception
