Darrelle Revis didn't appreciate what the Dolphins had to say in the days leading up to Sunday's game at Gillette Stadium. He said he saw quotes coming out of Miami that painted the Dolphins as ever-boastful, 13 weeks after their Week 1 win over the Patriots.
"There was a lot of talk," Revis said following New England's AFC East-clinching 41-13 win on Sunday. "Those guys were chirping. The Miami Dolphins were chirping this week about [how] they should've beat us by 50 and all of those type of things in the first game.
"If that's what they wanna do, then that's what they want to do. The one thing you gotta understand is you get a second stab at it because we're in the same [division]. You might need to watch what you say."
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Patriots used the video screens inside the Patriots facilities to display quotes from Miami players after they beat the Patriots back in Week 1. The quotes used showed that the Dolphins thought the Patriots quit.
