Read this article about Darrelle Revis willing to change positions. With the success of other CB's changing position to play Safety - makes you wonder how successful he could be at doing this. As long s his heart is in it and he really wants to play. Maybe not on the Dolphins but it would be n interesting development. His last chance effort to salvage the remainder of his career.

Nope. And he most certainly wont be cheap.

Believe he could transition to free safety rather easily tbh, and be pretty damn solid there.

But he has legal issues and would likely be too expnsive to experiment. Would have to be a one year prove it deal or a multi year with an easy out after one year but with escalators if he performs well.

One of the national writers discussed this the other day - because of the guaranteed money he still has with the Jets and offsets in his contract, you have to make Revis a very strong offer for him to even earn an extra cent this year.

Well considering many of the best all time corners have converted to safety late and done well I dont see why he couldn't. Rod woodson, charles woodson.... Maybr revis? I would rather the jets try him there and let Malik hooker fall to us!

it's the money thing with him. As soon as he signs his contract and plays well he bitches about deserving more, holds out, cries. No thank you.

There's been some reports that Revis doesn't have much passion for the game anymore. Strictly a money mercenary at this point.

All charges against him were dropped yesterday.

Gonna say no thanks. Not sure where his heart is at or if he is really made in that safety mold. Though Charles Woodson did surprise me he did. Rod made since, expected him to do well there.

Apparently "The Island" has dropped his weight from 220 lbs down to 198 lbs in an effort to get faster. He looked really slow last season (a$$ was huge), but his football instincts are probably as good as ever. The Jets are on the hook for $6M, even if Darrelle sits on the couch. However, there is offset language, so if we offered $1M, then the Jets would have to pay $5M.
Mike Tannenbaum drafted Revis and also had the privilege/misfortune of negotiating with him and his agent multiple times.
