My opinions have changed over the last few weeks, so I am giving my opinions on the direction of the off-season again.

Released- We need to get under the cap and then some, so tough choices have to be made.

OT Damion Mcintosh- Could upgrade in off-season, plus he makes over 4 mill

DT Jeff Zgonina- I like him, but he is aging and he makes over 2 mill

LB Eddie Moore- no explination needed

LB Junior Seau- Aging and high priced

CB Reggie Howard- Despite strong performance Sunday, he still sucks, plus he is too expensive to be a backup

CB Sam Madison- If he is not willing to accept a pay cut, we may have to move on without him.

S Tebucky Jones- He played well when he was in there this season, but he stands to make 6 mill next year.

Keep

Ronnie Brown
Ricky Williams
Darian Barnes
Chris Chambers

Re-signed

Sage Rosenfels- Proved he is a good player

Cleo Lemon- That is mainly for you idiots on this message board who love him so much

Sammy Morris- solid blocker

Alonzo Ephraim- would be a servicable backup

Donnie Spragan- played well when he got a chance late in the year

Jason Glenn- great special teams player

Kiwakee Thomas- good special teams player

Lance Shulters- In a reserve role

Donnie Jones- great suprise

Lorenzo Diamond- solid backup

Not re-signed

Stockar McDougale- Has talent, but too many stupid penalties

Travis Minor- He is too average for how long we have had him

David Boston- We can not invest anymore money for a guy who gets hurt stretching the truth

Bryan Gilmore- I think we could uprgrade, although good special teams

Seth Mckinney- I hope we upgrade

Eddie Jackson- He stinks, did you see him sunday on special teams.

Make a tough decision on

Gus Frerotte

Keith Traylor

Marty Booker

Off-season prioritys

1. Young QB

2. #1 CB

3. LT

4. OLB

5. Young WR

6. C

7. S

We should have some money to play around with, so we can sign maybe three or four good free agents, Then with the draft and development of young players, we should be a playoff contender next season.

Madison only saves us two million and that's not much at all to cut a great player for. Yes I said great...

Howard should be the first one gone, Tebucky mainly because of cost, Zgonina, Seau, and that's about it. Spragan is already under contract for another year. Schulters should be re-signed to a couple year deal, Thomas and Taylor possibly guaranteed as well as Chambers, plus make Gus take a massive pay cut. As for McIntosh keep him until after draft day or June 1st so that worst comes to worst we have him to start at LT. In FA get another veteran QB or possible starting QB, Julian Peterson :D or LeCharles Bentley :D and Toniu Fonoti.

I think we're ok with Schulters back at S, just need one more pick at SS.

Lance is a playmaker, but he is weak in coverage. Although he did have 4 picks, they are overated when looking at the overall play of the player. For example, the Broncos had Tebucky Jones the year after we let him go the first time, andnhe had 7 or 8 interceptions. Then he was let go the next year. Another example is Deltha Oneal of the Bengals. He had 10 picks, but he is not considered close to an elite CB.

What the hell are you talking about? We never had him before :shakeno:

- He's never had 7 or 8 picks. He was traded from New England to New Orleans a couple years back. Lance is a very good player who people are bagging on mainly because Jolley got behind him.

Thinking of Terrell Buckley? Schulters depends on how much he asks, if he wants to hit pay day then no way, if he asks for reasonable money then ok. He made some plays but also gave up some pretty big ones.

I think you bring back Mckinney to compete, and if nothing else he would be a good backup. He played a lot better this year then past years. The wide receivers is where we to add quality depth for sure.
