Assuming the Dolphins lose to the Patriots...
and
Assuming the Colts, Patriots, Bengals, and Chargers take their respective divisions...

2 Wildcard spots...

Broncos have 4 losses but play @ Philly, @ Indy, plus 3 divisional games...
I see 3 losses... Broncos finish 9-7 with a weak conference record

Steelers have 5 losses but still play the Dolphins in Miami. They also play the Ravens and Green Bay. I see 2 losses out of those 3 games. Steelers are not playing good football right now.

Ravens also have 5 losses. They have a weak schedule. They play @ Green Bay Monday night where a loss here would be huge.

Jacksonville also has 5 losses. They have the best conference record right now out of all the wildcard teams. Unfortunately for them, their schedule is brutal. Their next four are vs. Houston, vs. Miami, vs. Colts, @ Indy. Jags are the most bipolar team in the NFL but I dont see any wins here. Their defense is terrible (10 sacks on the year). Jacksonville should finish with 8 losses.

Houston has 6 losses. Easy formula. Fins beat them (its bound to happen eventually!) and they get that 7th loss.

Titans. Read above.

Jets. No way this sorry team wins out. They play @ Tampa Bay (W), vs. Atlanta (W), @ Indy (L) - and there goes their season.

Wildcard will come down to 4 teams...
Broncos finish 9-7 with 5 conference losses.
Steelers finish 9-7 with a head-to-head loss to the Fins.
Ravens finish 10-6 and take the 5th seed.
Dolphins (Fins always go on a late season run) - After losing to the Patriots, we get the first W @ Jacksonville whos defense is terrible. Titans crash after losing to the Colts this week. Texans? Its bound to happen sometime! Loss of Owen Daniels is huge for us. Final game vs. Pittsburgh will be flexed to Sunday Night. Winner gets in the playoffs and thats all us fans can hope for. Let the players play and get us in!

I personally think we can't lose again....steelers may be playing bad football but they are a completely different team when Troy P is playing and he will be back....I also think the Titans upset the colts this weekend and they wont be a cakewalk for us either

u do realize that pittsburgh almost beat balt in balt without big ben and polamalu. i think pitt is going to beat balt pretty easily. as for there only other real loseable game till they play us is gb. gb cnt protect rodgers to save there lives, and rodgers holds on to the ball to long. i can see pitt winning that game pretty easily.

if we do beat pitt i think that would make pitt 10-6 rather than 9-7 and that would mean theyd finish ahead of us even if we did beat them if we went 9-7.

as for denver, i see 9-7 at worst, but i think 10-6 is alot more likely with them losing at indy and philly. if we lose another game, there is no way we make it unless new england dropped its final 4, and we won our final 4.

So this is the new game we're playing? After each subsequent loss we come up with another scenario that has us backing into the playoffs. I'm sorry for sounding so cynical. I just want this team to play 4 dominant quarters of football. Is that too much to ask?

Whenever you have to count on 43 other teams winning/losing, it isn't worth it at that point. I'll tune in until the season is over but the team isn't going to the playoffs.

Stop talking about playoffs. Were not a playoff team.

yeah, sucks because i really would've liked chad henne to play at least one playoff game before the dreaded "3rd year of the rebuilding process" where we're suposed to wreak havoc... :rolleyes2:

(i was serious though, on my wish to see henne get playoff experience lol )

Since we are talking senarios that can get us in the playoffs - if the Patriots trade us Brady, Moss and Welker for Ginn we might have a chance.

Some of you people are ridiculous. This team can play with anyone. The only reason we loss most of our games was because of Henning and Pasq.'s horrible play calling on defense and offense.

I don't want to see this team get beaten in the playoffs. When you let the Colts beat you despite holding the ball for less than 15 minutes, blow a 21 point lead to the Saints, and fall apart in the fourth quarter at home against the lowly Bills, you don't deserve to go.

IDC, I want to see this team make the playoffs. Who knows what will happen if we made it?

even if the fins make the playoffs (near impossible) i dont see a long playoff life for this team

they can play with anybody for 3 quarters, but 4?
