It took more days than usual for me to even consider watching what was one of the worst offensive performances by a Miami Dolphin team. I'm very glad I went back for another look.

During games when we are super emotional, screaming at the T.V. and generally terrorizing our neighbors a ton of stuff happens that gets missed. I saw a really good defensive effort get blown up by the inability to run the Football. In this league if you can't run at all it's a very long day trying to get points.

The rookie, Charles Harris, is starting to look like Cam Wake the way he uses his hands, sweeps in low and has excellent explosion to the Q.B. Suh balled out there all day even diagnosing and batting down a screen pass. Alonzo made plays behind the line of scrimmage and was active in keeping their running game in check most of the day. Tank is going to pair with Howard giving us 2 young fast Corners who have size and speed. Reshad Jones was awesome and is finally back in form. Timmons led the team in tackles and showed some ability to get to the Q.B. Hayes plays the run as advertised, very well. This is a defense that played very well stopping Drew Brees until the officials gave them their first TD. I see good things developing here, I'm starting to like these players we have on defense.

The Refs totally ruined the game. These kind of games must be stopped somehow by the N.F.L. I saw flags thrown that made huge differences in the game. Example: It's 3-0 12:31 left in the third quarter, third and 1 for New Orleans. They call a run by Ingram that gets crushed way behind the line of scrimmage by Jones. A flag comes out on Godchaux who was double teamed and tossed to the ground quickly. Holding was the call but it was a lie. There were 4 or 5 plays like that where the Dolphin's either stopped N.O. or had a nice offensive play. Ajayi had a sweet run at a key time, flags come flying. The first down they gave the Saints on that measurement was another example. Re watch the game and you'll see Suh lose it!!

I think were going to have a nice come back victory this week, it won't be easy, nothing about this season has been easy. Let's run the ball, take some shots down field and start really hitting people on the o-line and open up some holes for Jay. Big day for Ajayi, 125 yards and 2 TDs by Cutler, good day by the defense and we win it 23-17.

It's nice to be positive, but I've been a fan since 1969. It's getting hard to keep smiling.

I do agree that refs have really been miserable in recent years. Always interesting to watch when announcers (and that "rules expert" guy that Fox has) have absolutely no clue why the refs called what they did.

A like just from being able to rewatch this game. It was hard enough to watch it the first time.
It would be worth watching just the defense IMO. All of our rookies had a good game. 1 thing being overlooked is Vincent Taylor is clearly outplaying Godchaux. Taylor is a better player at this point

I didn't have to re-watch the game to know that there were many phantom calls against the Dolphins during critical times. I hate making the refs an excuse, but they had a huge roll in keeping the Dolphins offense sputtering. However, good teams overcome these challenges. We had some chances to be competitive despite these calls.

You know it’s bad when the fox official ref guy and the commentators were annoyed with the constant ref show Ed Hochuli put on. I hate when he does a dolphins game.

I realize most of hate the Patriots (not just Phin fans) and a large reason is because of such a discrepancy with how calls get missed against them. It seems some teams just get the benefit of the doubt whereas other teams get penalized for nonsense. I would wager money that there will be questionable calls against the Bucs tonight.

Tankersely is probably the biggest positive surprise for me. I really like his attitude out there. He competes and is active. Compare him to a guy like Bobby McCain who seems passive by comparison.

Harris is showing signs. The hopeful thing about him is he has a good attitude as well. He wants to be good. He keeps his head down and works at his craft. With his quick burst and willingness, there is promise. The question is ceiling but I’ll be shocked if he’s an outright bust.

Tank, Harris, Godchaux, Taylor, and, in time, McMillan has a chance to be a solid defensive draft. The defense still needs help in terms of team speed. That’s a slow defense out there. You get some more speed and you will see turnovers take off. I think you still need FS and LB athleticism in particular. You can never have enough pass rushers and corners either.

Can we get a young QB, TE, guard, and center? This team has so many needs.

FS for me. That's what is lacking.

What I see with our defense that I believe hurts is that we play off the ball to much hurting our pass rush while the other teams are pressing our recievers

definitely. I'm happy we got Harris, but I was really hoping Hooker was gonna fall to us. He's ballin already. I think Harris could be a young cam though which is maybe more exciting. We got Cam late!

Yup, coaching is the reason we are doing so poorly, the refs try to screw us seemingly every other game, that's nothing new, the league hates the dolphins because of our history and we play in the same division as their chosen scam squad. However, the main reason we lost isn't the refs, its coaching plain and simple, gase and burke both coach scared, plenty of talent on both sides, plenty of people that could be replaced right now to greatly increase the starting talent(guards for asiata, davis, thomas for gray, mccain for verner).

However the coaches won't because they aren't veteran enough, same scared philosophy as Philbin. You won't see many takeaways from this defense unless it becomes uber talented, its pretty talented right now and i don't think we've sniffed a takeaway yet. No way we are getting takeaways when all the dbs are forced to play 10 yards off every play so the de's can't rush and that obviously cuts down any int opportunities because they're no where near the ball.

Can only go as far as coaching lets you in this league most of the time, bad coaches can kill even really talented teams. If you made those replacements right now, you'ld literally only have a few holes at lb and one at fs and maybe a 3rd corner, the rest of the team would be good to really good to best in the league at 3 positions, i can't stand horrible coaches. Rarely do you see players not try hard in the nfl unless they are tired of coaches bs and rarely do you see coaches support their players and try to win. All the politics and old boys club bs has really watered the NFL down.

I just gotta see much more before throwing down on Gase. Last year the roster was real trash and at this same time last year Ryan T looked like a deer in the head lights. Yea I know we have a tough schedule, possibly a overhill QB but still not ready to mail it in.

Are the Dolphins the worst team in the league right now? I think yes! Man we STINK!!!
