And frankly....I don't see where Tannehill is catching as much heat as he is amongst a few.........

It wasn't a perfect game....but he threw 3 touchdowns and put 30 on the board.

The defense and running game needs work for sure....and the whole team is adjusting to new schemes.

This is the NFL....its not college football with weekly one sided mismatches of team quality....certainly not to the level of college football.

The Browns had the Ravens on the ropes the week before....and in hindsight their loss to the Eagles makes perfect sense.

I'm not saying it shouldn't be better....but lets temper the rhetoric a bit.

We'll find out over the course of this season if Tannehill is the guy or not....this is when we play the games and find out....next January-May is when Gase can make big changes.

We're 1-2....lets upset the Bengals this week.

Tannehill's accuracy was off badly yesterday for him. And he had a 65% completion %, threw 3 TD's, threw for over 300 yards, and put 30 points on the board.

I think people are more upset about the interceptions and pick 6 which make it look like he played worse than he did. I thought the playcalling was piss poor and the o line is still not up to par. We cant run block and our pass blocking has been good at times then terrible at others.

Will we though? I think that's the biggest source of frustration regarding Tannehill. He'll make some dumb, often costly mistakes and throw a handful of passes that make you scream at the television, but typically balances those bonehead plays with a handful of beautiful tosses that result in points. He has 700 yards and five touchdown passes over the past two games and has put up 50 points in the past six quarters alone, but he threw some terrible interceptions in that time and is a missed field goal away from losing both games.

He'll probably finish the season 7-9 or 8-8 and throw 4,000 and 25+ touchdowns, just like he did last year. And the year before that. I'm not even a Tannehill hater, but it's so infuriating because he looks like a legit championship quarterback on play and like a guy who shouldn't be in the league the next. He's good enough to be an effective starter, but he isn't always an effective starter. If you could embody the sensation of purgatory into an NFL quarterback, that would be Tannehill.

I definitely agree with you that Tannehill is not the main concern right now. I'm worried about that fraudulent wide 9 scheme and the defense in general. I know everyone gets paid to make plays but when you have only one playmaker on the field (Pryor) and you still allow him to make plays after plays, this is very disturbing

Agree. Not sure how we can stop the run consistently in it. As for the passing game, our passing attack is 10th in the league, so you are right. That shouldn't be the focus right now.

The defense is the Achilles heel of this team. Yes he threw two INTs yesterday, one for a TD. But Pryor couldn't be stopped and the run defense is still suspect. The offense has to carry the team.

You have the patience of a saint if you rewatched that game yesterday!

A little OT, but I'd love to see the INT stat broken into categories. Let's say one for INTs in the last 30 seconds of a game (desperation), one for INTs beyond a QBs control (bounces off a receiver/hit while throwing, and one for 'what was he thinking?' That INT by Taylor, for example, was BAD.

Int's usully get blamed all on the qb. Most of his ints in his career have been arm hit/tipped passes off wr's hands or just desperation trying to make a play t end of half or game. He's made very few bad interceptions in his career but yes the first one was pretty bad.

I think a couple of those inaccuracies related to the receiver going a different direction than he anticipated.

I would like to see him move his feet better to escape the rush.

The Brown's D is better than fans think. 30 points is nothing to sneeze at especially when they have to drive the field a lot with that horrid Dolphin D.

Exactly. Sometimes it feels like folks don't watch the other NFL games throughout the week. I'll be the first to say the offense needs to do better with closing out games, but Tannehill did some good things, especially that last pass under pressure to Landry to seal the game - close to another sack. The sack fumble, James got beat badly, he had no time at all.

Tannehill needs to get beyond those 5-7 minute spans in a game where he just seems to checkout. What I do like is now when this happens Gase gets more aggressive with him. Failbin would have stuck his head in his shell, racked off 3 series in a row of fun up the middle and third and long bobble screens and mailed it in.

As far as our fraud 9? Outside our dline and Jones our defense is bankrupt of talent! Our LBs are just terrible! There are no player makers not a dominant force in the bunch. The secondary is worse! Late in the game they were lazy/tired/out of shape, those 2 last drives penalties galore giving up first downs. Couldn't answer for Pryor, really? The real WRs we play coming up will gut them, the more tape on our tendencies the worse each game will get.

Right now there are way bigger problems than the QB, this was a throw away year anyway so by years end hopefully he grows into new offense and puts this to bed.

The first pick , was a bad throw , lazy route and bad decision . All combined for an INT .

The throw to Landry for the TD was a PERFECTLY , I mean ... PERFECTLY placed ball. There was some bad , there was some good ... At the end there was a win which is all I care about .

That being said , I'm extremely worried about what Giovanni Bernard will do to us ... As well as what AJ green will do to Maxwell .
