I heard a lot about Zach, JT, & Carter reworking their contracts for some cap relief...has anyone heard/read anything more on how likely that scenario is? I imagine that would need to happen to be a major player in free agency, especially if not CBA is reached.

Correct, just before 9:00PM tomorrow we'll see the restructures...they really can't be done until either a CBA is agreed on or we are going into this year under the current CBA with the $94.4 mil cap....

All three said they are willing and waiting to redo their contracts for the good of the team. But we need to wait until we see what is up with the CBA before anything is done. I think all three will get done in short order so that the Dolphins can persue whatever big name FA they most want.

Pardon my Swiss... but what in the hooha is our current cap figure? (with Seau and Diamond cut)

1.6 mil over.

I believe the 1.6 millions over figure is right.....However you must keep in mind that the restructuring of some contracts can save about 8 to 10 million. Plus we will let go Gus...and save about 4 million more. so once it's said and done I believe we can be about 12 to 14 million under in a short period of time.

Thanks MD and vict...

Am I to assume these figures include the accelerated bonuses if the CBA is NOT signed?

(I'm not worried about our situation if the CBA is extended)
