Rex Cryan's new tactic

Maybe he can also help injure his arm like he did with Josh Johnson.

Girardi needs to teach Jason Campbell how to slide then too. That goofy SOB looks like he's insane when he attempts to slide.

Don't you think if he was seriously trying to get someone to teach him to slide....it would be someone who is actually playing baseball??? Looks like a publicity stunt to me.....maybe he can get Mariano Rivera to teach him how to throw with accuracy???

You do realize Girardi played for many years winning 3 Championships w/ the Yankees as a player, right?

I wouldn't say complaining, I couldn't care less actually. Just seems to me if you were looking to teach someone to slide you might use someone who actually does it on a daily basis....or even coaches it....not a manager who used to be a catcher.

He was a guy who played a long time and he knows how to slide and teaches it.

I'm not a baseball fan at all but I like Joe Giradi. He's from my hometown of Peoria, Illinois and has paid his dues.

With that said, the Yankees salary is almost 200 million dollars, so I would think they would win the World Series every year with the way they stack talent.

Am I the only non-Jets fan that doesn't think this is such a bad idea? I don't see how it could hurt him, and he'll probably gain some good sliding techniques from him.

Well let's see if there's any difference this Sunday. lol I don't see nothing wrong with this but eh, when you have done it one way for a while it becomes a habit.

He obviously needs to learn to slide, I love the fearless attitude but he's going to get hurt at some point if he doesn't slide. I like the idea but maybe they should have done this a while ago?

I don't even care about this non-story but how does any athlete not know how to slide? It's sliding for christ sake!
