Rex Grossman to workout for the #Dolphins

Lobato makes it difficult to evaluate other players on the offense. They need a competent QB throwing passes to these players.
 
@flasportsbuzz: Matt Moore does not believe his sore shoulder is serious and does not believe it puts him at risk of missing reg. season games if needed.
 
We need someone capable of running an NFL offense in practice and preseason so the kids can get reps, develop, and we can more accurately evaluate the guys competing for a spot. Grossman isn't a good QB, as recently as 2011 was starting so he should help us in that regard. I will be really disappointed if I don't get to see Devlin or Moore sometime soon. One of the only things I actually enjoy about preseason (beyond it being Dolphins and football) is seeing the other QB's on the roster besides the starter. I enjoy watching Moore play and think Devlin could be better than what has become the cool opinion around here to have, so missing out on seeing those two guys makes the game less fun to watch.
 
We could do worse for a backup... Maybe were finally going to dump Moore like some suggest. Go cheaper and try to find someone capable out of Devlin or others. I truly believe we would have fared better with him out there over Lobato
 
Hell I didn't even know Grossman was still alive.


I'd be interested in bringing Orton for a go.
 
Still think Moore has trade value to a team with an injury before the deadline. Not like we are strapped for cash.

Now lets look at the facts. Moore is unhealthy, he is going to cost $5 million against the salary cap, let that marinate. If Moore is really unhealthy you want $5million siting on your IR. #Dolphins could cut Moore, sign Rex much cheaper and put those $5 million else where. It's business.

I do not think you off at all. I like Moore and he is great in the meeting room and the team can win games with him. However, you are dead on that if he is not healthy, he is of no help. Especially, if his injury occurred without contact.

I do think Hickey is doing due diligence in this case, but maybe something is up with Moore. That is not conspiratorial.
 
If you can get any of them cheap and they are halfway decent in preseason you could trade or cut Moore and save a lot of money. Philbin likes Devlin, so Devlin could become the #2 and whoever they sign would be the third stringer. It's a possibility.

The team has signed running back Cameron Marshall and waived quarterback Brock Jensen.
