Rex Ryan spoke about Williams in a press conference and basically called him a *****. I can't wait for Williams to destroy the Bills o-line and QB in those two games this year. This should be all the motivation he needs.

Doing us a favor. If you're a coach who's gonna pick a fight with a player (not usually a good move, but whatever), at least pick a guy who has limited talent and already plays hard. A Channing Crowder. You don't pick the mega talent who has issues with motivation. And especially if he plays a position where he can take over the game. That's just asking for trouble.

Man rex just can't take the high road. Never has been able to.

Especially if he has to walk up there.

yea i bet tyrod taylor is just gushing over how big and badass his coach is right now. typical rex ryan move...

I think Rexy should check out what Williams did 2014, then look at himself in the mirror, if he still wondering what went wrong for Mario in 2015 when he came aboard.

You gotta love Rex for bringing that bulletin board material. He's never been shy to mince his words.

All the more reason to hope Mario rebounds.

That's some funny stuff right there. I love it! LOL.

Funny part is he has to go all the way back to the 2008 Ravens to list a few mediocre to decent pass rushers. Not New York or Buffalo but the Ravens. Players who he never selected BTW. Jarett Johnson??? That dude was a huge FA flop for SD. 5.5 sacks in 3 years! Never had more than 6 sacks and Rexy is rippin on Mario?

Sometimes you just gotta know when to shut up. I can't wait for October 23rd. I'm definitely going now.

I predict Mario rips Tyrod and Shady's heads from their shoulders. That guy hits hard when he wants to!

when will this guy learn to shut up? probably not until he is (deservedly) out of the league.

you'd be pissed a if a player quit on you too.

agreed. i'd also be pissed if I was one of the league's premiere pass rushers and some "defensive genius" tries to scheme me into ineffectiveness (not that anything is an excuse for quitting).

that coach has actually won in this league(though it's been a while), you would think that while Mario was in a playoff race for a change that he would be happy but he wanted to whine about dropping into coverage once/twice a game b/c his meaningless individual stats were down which is all he cares about.

w/ that said I think for ONE year this is an excellent signing for you b/c he will show up motivated and will actually try this year and I think will have a really good year.

There are many things that piss me off, I usually don't feel the need to cry about it

is he "crying" about it or just answering a question?

The whole Williams/Ryan deal sounds like a bad relationship story. Both side seem to have lost respect for the other. Did Williams quit putting out maximum effort? I don't know, but that happens when you feel you're being mistreated and disrespected. It's time for both parties to move on. We know that Williams and Ryan can be successful without the other. I wouldn't be shocked if Williams comes close to 14 sacks, which is what Olivier Vernon had if you combined his 2014 and 2015 seasons.

Anyone with a lick of sense, who went through a situation where you are being called out by your teammates, should have learned from the situations and be willing to not let that happen again. Williams seemed to be at fault for taking plays off but having been called out on it, I doubt he puts that on tape again.
