Is SOMEONE lookin for a Fins DC job next year??
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan doesn't get very cozy with New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. But there is another AFC East head coach Ryan clearly has admiration for: Joe Philbin of the Miami Dolphins.

Philbin

On Tuesday conference call with the Miami media, I asked Ryan for his thoughts on Philbin returning in 2015. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross gave Philbin the endorsement for next season following Miami’s 37-35 victory against the Minnesota Vikings.

Ryan gave Philbin immense praise.

"I’ll tell you what, it’s obviously great. It’s obviously well-deserved," Ryan said. "He’s a helluva football coach. Obviously, Miami made a great decision bringing him back. I can tell you, going against him, that’s a heck of a football team and that’s a really well-coached team."

Ryan didn't stop there.

"No surprise that he's back," Ryan said of Philbin. "He's one of the better coaches in the league. I’m really happy for him"

No, he's auditioning for his next role as a stand up comedian.:)

You know I'm not a fan of Rex at all, but I'm surprised at how much, uh... grace he's shown this season as everything has gone to **** for him and the Jets.

"I'm hiring Tony Sparano as the OC because he's a mini me." Funny or clueless? You decide

but Tony lifted weights to lose weight, Rex took the easy way out so he couldn't be a mini me:crazy:

He's still got one week and one after game press conference, to still snap tho!

I hope he's trying to audition for the Miami DC job tbh.

Philbin is to clueless tho.

I think he is just being respectful of a fellow coach, obviously he knows what the hot seat feels like and knows he is getting fired.

(putting my tin foil hat on)
Rex would like to be the DC, and when QueasyPhil gets canned, he would be the next guy up.
Having a Rex Ryan defense would be awesome. He gives Belicheat fits.

Agreed. I dont like the man for various reasons, but given the circumstances hes handled himself well, and his team is continuing to play hard for him. He'll get another shot. Im not convinced he was the problem in New York.
