If he is not successful, it will be ugly. BUT... but... I, for one, am looking at the manner that Joe is going about and doing things. I knew right off the bat that we had made a horrible, horrible mistake with Cam Cameron (between the Ted Ginn Jr. press conference and the Fail Forward Fast crap). When we went 1-15 it was almost a relief that the bozo child would be booted and adults would be brought in to save the franchise.
What I've seen from Cameron so far is just the opposite. You read about how his training camp is getting in twice as many reps each day as Sparano's did. He is, by all accounts, actually holding an open competition for the starting quarterback job!
Unless the team has a Cam Cameron style meltdown, complete with players screaming at him and fighting on the sidelines, he gets two years from me, minimum.
and as CK has mentioned in the past, The FO was very underwhelmed by Cameron in the interview process, they (Wayne and Mueller) were just under the impression that we HAD to have an offensive mind at HC as they felt Capers had the D under control... so they basically wanted Cam to be an OC (and the fact that they made Capers run Saban's D rather than his hurt a bit).
I remember old mods here even stating "Cam will either be a complete idiot or an absolute genius" in how he ran camp (way to lax, letting assistants with little experience run practices and make game plans for preseason)
