This was the guy we signed last season as a body when Johnson was hurt. I do not think he even dressed for a game. No lost at all.
Do not confuse him with the two possible players from the CFL. One is the big back Massam and the other is return guy Marcus Thigpen.
Both made their marks in the CFL. J Massam is known as a very good blocker and is one of the few CFL running backs to run for over 1,000 yards. He is 6'3" and 245 yards and is considered a Brandon Jacobs kind of running back. YOu really do not see that kind of back in the CFL but he was also a good run and more important, pass blocker. He should win the FB spot over converted linebacker Ryan Lewis from Bethune-Cookman.
Marcus Thigpen is also interesting. Thigpen made his mark in the CFL, scoring a touchdown five different ways — kickoff return, punt return, missed field-goal return, reception and rushing play — becoming the first player in CFL history to accomplish the feat.
