Richie Incognito Knocks Out Bouncer at Club Liv (incorrect title)

Nubs dont get me wrong here, your posts are awesome, but lets get real for a second.....

What Smith did was wrong. Im not questioning that. But, we all know Incognito is a dirty player. Again, that dosent mean its right for Smith to do what he did, it isnt.

But, Incognito has a bad habit of provoking people it seems. Apparently he was attacked by this bouncer or hotel door man whatever he was. Its just too often with Incognito. Seriously, how many times are you punched by someone? I havent had anyone try to punch me in YEARS. Incognito is a trouble maker and we all know it.

So as far as Incognito goes, he needs to cut the BS. And honestly, Ive had enough of this clown. We all know the team is trying to replace him for next season. Its not a mystery. This is a big part of the reason why. Where Incognito goes, trouble follows. He simply isnt a good enough player to tolerate the headache.

However, we need this dude for this season. We simply have zero depth on the OL. So he needs to cut out the nonsense and play football.

As far as this tape being buried and no report being filed on the incident...... I will say hats off to the phins FO for getting this buried however they managed to do so. If they bought the tapes from the hotel or whatever.... GOOD. We simply cant afford a suspension to a starting cornfed for something stupid. And Incognito may not be in the wrong at all in this situation. He might have simply been defending himself. The thing is, we all know Goodell likes to swing his hammer and we all know Incognito has a target on his back. Thats why he needs to lay low and keep his mouth shut. Stay out of the clubs. Just play football.

This AM on Mike&Mike, Shefter tried to justify Smith's reaction and the relatively light suspension by citing the history of antagonistic dirty play by Richie. Golic didn't buy it and correctly pointed out that a helmet to the head could be a lethal assault - but as a post comment after Shefter had disconnected.

Hell Adam, so if your wife was a slut for years, her past deeds would then explain and rationalize her being presently raped, eh? He should just go **** himself... especially now with this witch hunt. I'd not be surprised if this is not some form of psychic "payback"for getting the **** kicked out of him on Long Island throughout his school years by "bullies" who Incog reminds him of.

Let's not act like Incognito is an angel. Hell he grabbed Smith's facemask as soon as the ball was snapped instigating Smiths reaction. No excuse for Smith to do that but Richie is no innocent victim.

As for the bouncer, Richie needs to clean it up. The Dolphins cant afford to lose him for something stupid.

Good stuff and I agree but with Ritchie it seems if he wasn't this type of person he would not be a very good OL. There has to be a line drawn for him and I hope the coaches have made it clear that he needs to clean it all up.

Yup. While it's possible he really has cleaned up his act, and he really was attacked unprovoked here... does anyone really believe it?

And of course, unless video or neutral eyewitness accounts surface, we won't ever know anyway.

I heard that conversation too this morning. Schefter made no sense.
 
If there is no tape being released, Goodell and his cronies should move on to the things they have seen, like shots to the knee...oh wait it's only a penalty if it looks violent now.
 
If Incognito were a Patriot this would be a non story. Unless of course he killed someone and then ESPN would refer to him as ex.player rather than ex. Patriot
 
Incognito was issued a "trespassing warning" for the incident. A warning is not an arrest, and if the league has no video evidence, there is nothing they really can do.
 
I love this. Pure NFL drama.

Here are the facts:

NFL says Incognito did nothing wrong.

NFL says Smith did something very wrong (think legally: assault; you can go to jail for that)

Adam Shefter reports allegedly that Incognito hit a man after he was hit first. Think how this looks in a court of law. And are we going to hear the whole truth and nothing but the truth? Like is the establishment doing things against the law themselves? Is it likely the man who allegedly hit first has a record or some kind of personal goings on himself?

Lets find out!

Go get em Sheffy! ESPN is garbage.
 
What I hate is them saying he pushed Smith after the whistle. Re-Watch the first drive and watch Duane Brown push Vernon way after the whistle. This is football. Guys do this stuff all the time. But because its Richie he's the worst person ever. Whatever
 
This is the same Adam Schefter that said Jeff Fisher was going to coach in Miami? The same Adam Schefter that is so dramatic in ESPN updates when reporting if a lousy RB is going to suit up in practice?

The biggest issue hereis supposedly if Miami covered it up. However, no film. The bar is smart btw. Keep it out of the papers.
 
Palm Beach Post says the police report says Incognito was trying to break up a fight and got hit by the security guard. He refused medical treatment and was issued a warning and was escorted out. No mention yet of Incognito throwing a punch and "knocking out" a security guard.
