You know we're really in a state of extreme dysfunction when I'm just sitting here hoping that this was a totally isolated thing and that one or the other of those two guys is totally bat**** insane because the alternative is... yeah.
 
There are a lot of things I've seen that certainly show Philbin as a new coach, like a rookie QB making rookie mistakes. Now he has done the right thing after taking days to decide how to cover up the fact that that had some knowledge of this stuff. Oh Mr. Ross.

Of course, despite that, some will find it perfectly acceptable to give the benefit of the doubt to the thing they are emotionally tied to. Some defended Penn State despite the litany of evidence, some on here were just defending Incognito and making an active effort to discredit the media.

IF These things did in fact happen like Barry Jackson is claiming, then Martin needs to issue a statement and reveal the evidence that he has.

Until he does, I will view him as nothing more than a bitter/crazy ex-girlfriend who is upset that he lost his LT gig and freaked out.

Stop hiding behind the media if you're the victim.
 
Joe better have some hard ass evidence right now. If he doesn't, he looks soft and he cans a guy that people like on the team.

He took an issue that could have galvanized the team and made it a loser. Nice work Joe.

Maybe if Joe had the pulse of the team better it would not have gone this far. Worthless leader.

No. Joe had to do this pending the investigation. Jon Martin is going to sue. Jon Martin is going to cause a LOT of problems for the Miami Dolphins. Look at the actions Jon has taken. These are the actions of someone who is either completely bonkers, or someone who is very carefully setting up for litigation. His parents are both Harvard educated lawyers... you tell me which you think it is.

Joe Philbin had to do this even if it turns out that Richie Incognito is somehow miraculously innocent in all of this and that Jon Martin is just having a psychotic breakdown and the 'voicemail' is actually Jon Martin leaving a message for himself in a comedy falsetto voice.

Damage control needs to be done NOW. Legal covering of asses needs to be done NOW. A huge distraction needs to be at home and not in the locker room tomorrow.

They had to have evidence. You can't just suspend someone for conduct detrimental without evidence, otherwise the NFLPA is going to be all over your ass on appeal.

No, what I'm sure happened here is that the info Mike Garafalo and others got is the same stuff that was sent to the team. In other words, Joe Philbin and the rest of the FO has almost certainly seen the texts and heard the voicemails, and they decided it was game over.

The NFLPA will be all over Joe in the morning. He did not have to do this btw. Let the NFL investigate it and see where it goes.

I still think Martin is a snake for what has happened. He "snapped" not over race, but a cafeteria stunt. He is pissed over moving to RT after doing a **** job at LT.

No use Jonathan Martin and because of his complaints the team is weaker for it. Great job, spoiled bum.
