Richie Incognito WILL be back for last 2 games...bank on it.

...he is desperately needed on the O-line.

No. He's not desperately needed at all. Unless by "desperately needed" you mean we're lacking dysfunction in the locker room.

Think about it. He would have been RELEASED/CUT or put on the SAME inactive-not fit to play list to end his season that J.Martin was put on....BUT....he WASN'T!

Or perhaps there are legal reasons they've kept him under contract. We don't know the reasoning behind the organization's decision to retain him. The flip side to your cap-laden ejaculation of enthusiasm is that the team could have reactivated him at any time during this process, but they chose not to do so. This can go either way.

Also, the NFL did not find anything "serious" or worthy of taking action in their investigation, so that all but clears him.

You don't know that. And if you're basing that assumption off the La Canfora piece, you're jumping to a conclusion not necessarily supported by what he said. "No bombshells" doesn't mean Incognito was cleared of anything. He made the point that the info on Incognito was already out there, and since it was already known, it couldn't be characterized as a "bombshell."

The Dolphins were waiting to see if those final 2 games would shape up to be meaningful. With today's win, it all but makes it a certainty that they will AND will determine if they make the playoffs or not.

That makes no sense. Every game is meaningful if you're trying to get to the playoffs. You've drawn an arbitrary line between the first 14 games and the last two for no apparent reason. Wasn't the game against the Jets important and meaningful? If we lost that game, we'd be in significantly worse shape today in terms of making the playoffs.

Also, Richie tweeted tonight for first time in 35 days. A sign? I think so.

Unless he tweeted, "Just got a call from the Dolphins and I'm coming back," it really means nothing.

Here he comes!! The fans want it, his teammates want it, everyone wants Richie back on the field. Enough of the ****. Let's go!!:hclap:

When did you become the voice of "everybody"? I'm part of "everybody" and I don't want him back. The people who have responded to you in this thread are part of "everybody" and most of them don't want him back. Players come and go on teams all the time. Incognito isn't a critical piece to the Dolphin's puzzle. He's the kind of schmuck desperate teams bring on board while at the same time crossing their fingers and hoping the guy doesn't destroy the locker room. There's a reason this idiot got bounced from Nebraska, Oregon, St. Louis, and Buffalo. It's time for Incognito to take his sideshow on the road.

If I am Ross, I have Jeff Ireland take a meeting with Incognito and his agent. The conversation would go like this: "Richie, we know you didn't do anything wrong. But at this point, we can't bring the media spotlight back for a playoff run. It will ruin everything your brothers have fought for in the past month. I would like to continue this paid absence through the rest of the season. If you agree to it, we will publicly acknowledge that we don't think you did anything wrong, other than use inappropriate language, and that we would love to have you back. Then, go out and get a free agent contract from someone else in the offseason. We will recommend you to any front office that calls."

This is confusing.

say publicly that they want him back to help his reputation, but with no intention of signing him. Richie is in the driver's seat if the investigation finds no infractions. quid pro quo

I dont want him back. Culture in the locker room is clearly better with both he and Martin gone and our oline is playing better than it has all year. Cut him.

Just cut him when his suspension is up and never mention his name again.

Let him stay home for the rest of the yr....I like our OL better now, they are tough and smart....no bad penalties and they don't give up sacks in bunches.....Richie is a distraction and I hope he played his last game as a dolphin as with Martin....the team needs to move on from this and concentrate on making the playoffs....

Aside from the OL playing better without him, Philbin doesn't want him and I doubt Ireland over rules him this time.

Good point, if the reports of Joe wanting to cut in last yr are true and Ross loves Joe, no way Richie comes back

I'm still not understanding your point. Why does the organization care about Incognito's reputation? Incognito's reputation preceded this incident and the incident has done nothing to change it, nor do I even think it has damaged it. The guy was a schmuck before we signed him. And how can Incognito be in the driver's seat when he's likely past the point where anything guaranteed in his contract is still owed to him?

Had "bullygate" been the only issue, I would say to bring the guy back. But, once I learned about the incident at the golf tournament, I am of the opinion the guy is a jerk and should have no place with the Miami Dolphins.
