Richie wants to return to the Fins

Good point, but a sense of humor is welcome on this forum.
And I'll applaud it when I come across it. However, the post in question was just an unimaginative and unoriginal shot at some low-hanging fruit.

Oh, that must be why they got Blaine Gabbert and Jonathan Martin. They will help win LOTS of games. :rolleyes2:
Both players are there in backup roles and both came very cheap. In Martin's case, it costs SF nothing if he doesn't make the team. And if he does make the team, they got a backup tackle for a 7th round pick. It's a win-win scenario for SF.

The fanboi fiction that goes on here about bring Incognito back is ridiculous. The guy was a lousy teammate and a lousy leader. He's a walking, talking distraction who likely made the unit play worse because they were too often concentrating on bs that had nothing to do with football. So now, just like with every other stop he's made in his football career, he's not longer welcome in Miami.

Richie will not be a Dolphin (he was on his way out anyways) and why would you bring him back when you are finally at a point where you can move past the whole situation.

Even if you look pass the bullying issue, the guy has obvious mental issues that will need to be addressed before any teams give him a chance.

I'm sure Ross hired some highly paid external consultant firm that made a fancy powerpoint presentation that showed a big red stop light because the benefits above are out wieghed by the media fenzy distraction and the 10% possibility that Richie reverts to his full mutant potential.
RI has been a jackass at every stop along the way in his career and you think there's only a 10% chance he goes back to being a jackass? So far, it's been 100%.

That being the case, I'm sure the Pats will pick him up and it will be heralded as the greatest free agent pick up o fall time.
Get over your Pats envy. It's unhealthy and makes you post ridiculous things.

Yeah, he must have been a pretty lousy teammate and leader. that's why every player in the locker room was behind richie? That's why the PLAYERS voted richie to be a leader? Had the snake just told richie he had an issue, i'm sure none of this would have gotten blown out of proportion the way it did. Should have at least tried to handle this in house, instead of leaving the team and causing a media circus.

I really don't care what happens to richie, whether he plays for miami, or plays on another team, or never plays again. But if he did play for miami again, i wouldn't be upset. He's the best option at guard, right now. and i have no reason to believe that the other dolphins wouldn't welcome him back...until i hear otherwise, from one of the dolphins.

I'd still take him back. Then again, I want my O-linemen to exhibit a nasty streak. :idk:

That being said, it'll never happen.

... We now bring you to JTC111 thumbing down this post because he's basically done it to every post ITT that didn't bash RI.

Although it would NEVER happen, I would take him back. He is a good football player and a good teamate. He has some issues that he needs to deal with and Miami turning it's back on him is not helping him. He does not see anything wrong with his actions nor does the rest of the players in the lockerroom. the guy needs support and the guys that he's depending on is being forced to turn it's back on him by the media and national spot light.

I think his return to the dolphins would be a positive thing. It get Miami much needed help on the o-line/ Richie gets the help and support that he clearly needs / it sends a LOUND F*ck you to J Martin / it lets the media know that Miami is serious about working on "its lockeroom issues". Only bad thing is the media headache of every day asking guys about the lockeroom and how it is holding up is not worth it.

People never rally behind bad leaders? Is that what you're implying?

He's really not. He brings dysfunction and distractions. This team needs neither. Those things can only bring down the level of play to the unit as a whole. We've certainly not seem it raise the level of play of anyone.

Will the owner and the head coach welcome him back? Until you clear those two hurdles, the opinions of the "other dolphins" are irrelevant.

JTC your double talking yourself.

The players back and backed Richie. I agree people do not tend to follow poor leaders but they back Richie and still do. what does that tell you?

The owner and head coach is falling to pressure from the national spot light that is making a lot more of this then it really is. So they are the weak ones here in my opinion becasue the players would vote clearly in support of bringing richie back. In my world Family is stronger then anything. And we are all we got and we are all we need. F*CK everyone else!!!!!

Thats what a team is based off of. You dont have to agree. Its just fact!!!!

No, that's not what i'm implying. I'm saying that the fans and media think incognito is this horrible human being, yet his teammates have his back. that says a lot about the situation. People can think what they want, doesn't mean that's reality. If Richie was really bringing dysfunction to the team, there would have to be a least one other player, who would speak out about how horrible of a person richie is. Hell, even Martin told richie it wasn't his fault.

and you're right, it really doesn't matter what any of us, or the team thinks. it's all up to the owner and FO. Just think some people are too emotional about the whole situation.

Id take him back only to fill a whole and be one step closer to less needs and a BPA draft which is what I feel we really need to catch up and make up for last years nightmare. Then release him at the end of the year and be done with him. If we were not so desperate at the Oline I would tell him to **** off.

That tells me just what I said: sometimes people back bad leaders. History is full of examples.

No. Family is family The NFL is a business. Players come and go. My brother will always be my brother; just as my mother will always be my mother. Even if I grow to hate either for some reason, that fact doesn't change. To say an NFL team is "family" sounds nice but there's no truth in it.

And we are all we got and we are all we need. **** everyone else!!!!!
Nonsense. We sucked last year. That's part of the reason why players that were on the team last year won't be on the team this year. So much for your "family" argument.

Good point. the team had richie's back before this whole fiasco, and they still have his back, because they know what really happened, and it's nowhere near as bad as the media, and the "investigation" says.

RI's entire college and NFL history disputes what you're saying.

You know, sometimes people back the right leaders, and the media spins the news, to make it seems like that leader is a horrible person. History is full of examples.

Okay, give me some examples of how RI's leadership made this a better team?
