Yes she filed a police report. IIRC what happened was that she waited long enough to file (after not receiving an apology) that the state was not obligated to press charges, and therefore she worked out a settlement.

Based on the facts available, I don't think there's any reason to assume that the victim did anything unethical.

Good point. Regardless of the drama, he just isn't a good fit for our offense and it showed.

They both say insensitive and racial things between themselves and other players. I dont grasp how that makes Richie a racist thug and Martin a outstanding human being with mental issues.

Incognito should have just killed Martin under nefarious circumstances like Ray Lewis. If this were the Ravens issue, the NFL and Ravens would welcome him back as a model citizen.
Obviously I am being sarcastic, but there is some truth in this moral hypocrisy. Many guys have done much, much worse than Incog and played again, some with the same teams.
Incognito should be allowed to come back at minimum salary and with a list of conditions. He is a good football player. He needs another chance.
I don't see it happening though. Philbin wanted him gone last year.
Still, it would be sweet to see Goodell and Wells with a sour puss face...

The unemployed kind. Settlements in civil cases happen every day. But let's flip your question... what kind of man sexually assaults a woman with a golf club and then has to pay out a large sum of cash to make the case go away?

Incognito should be allowed to come back....He needs another chance.

He's had plenty of chances. When Nebraska tired of his bs, Oregon gave him another chance. When Oregon tired of his bs (after a week), St. Louis gave him another chance. When St. Louis tired of his bs, the Bills gave him another chance. When the Bills tired of his bs, the Fins gave him another chance. I'm counting FOUR failed opportunities to get his act together.

No intelligent business man would allow Incognito back on the roster. I'm sure Ross wishes the best for him but it wouldn't be a good look for the franchise. The Fins still have some work to distance themselves from the PR mess they had. Ross giving Incognito another chance makes as much sense as giving Ireland another chance. Some of you have to realize it's more than X's and O's.

Incognito needs to find another owner who is willing to give him a 3rd of 4th chance. It won't be easy for 30-something football player with a history like his to find work.

I'd take him back under a zero tolerance policy.

He's a good football player and despite all this nonsense I think he was a good teammate. Battled for his team, teammates, and always played hard.

If the NFL probed every player like they did Incognito you'd find hundreds of guys with worse skeletons. From Marvin Harrison to Donte Stallworth there are ton of guys who have done way worse things than Richie Incognito

Sharper is a fine example, he's accused of rape and he was doing it while playing for the Saints, never mind Hernandez, even thou his behavior was unacceptable he didn't bet his girlfriend he just picked on a 320 LB guy that couldn't take it.
I know he can't come back but everybody deserves a second chance.
