Richmond Webb

IMO he wont get in. Shame but there ya go. Its 5yrs after retirement i think.

I liked Richmond Webb, but right now more interested in Bob Kuchenberg getting in the HOF. He deserves it IMO.

Kooch's only chance is to get in there is through the oldtimey committee.

The voters are not going to put all three interior offensive linemen from a single team in the HOF. I think he deserves to get in, but the fact that the other two linemen from the same 72-73 team is there is going to keep him out. I think he does deserve to go more then Bob Griese, though.

Bob gets more credit for the '72 season than he should, everyone forgets Earl got us there. I agree with your assesment of three lineman from one team being a stumbling block. I am of course a Bob fan so I want him in.

I think Griese was more of a product then an HOF player himself. He had a HOF reciever, HOF fullback, a high quality HB, and one of the best O-line units in history with 2, and should be 3 O-linemen in the HOF.

Not to mention the team won or lost on the running game in almost all big games.

R.Webb won't get in. He was too one dimensional - great pass blocking, horrible run blocking.

Actually he wasnt that bad a run blocker. They just didnt have a quality RB while he was there. I remember watching the pro bowl one year and lined up was marino at QB, Webb, Simms, Jackson, and Fryar.......the whole left side was Dolphins.....just wish we had a RB in there too :(

I think Webb has one more year. He made the pro-bowl 7 straight years beginning with his rookie year. I think he'll get in but not on the first or second ballot.

We never ran, its hard to get good/ great when you depend on the pass.

Like Aikmen or any other superbowl QB even Elway had to have a team around him to finally seal the deal.

Aikman should have neve gotten in on the first ballot. Talk about a caretaker QB that had his team carry him to Super Bowls. Aikman may have made the Pro-Bowl 6 times but he damn sure didn't deserve to go to 4 of them.
