At Central Michigan's Pro Day, tackle Joe Staley put up a 4.8 in the 40-yard dash, a 32-inch vertical jump, and a 9-foot-9 broad jump. Amazing number for someone weighing in at 6-foot-5 and 305-pounds. One scout said it was the "best all-around workouts I've seen by a big tackle in recent years" and added "that kid (Staley) does not last past the Top-20 picks".

Here's hoping that Miami trades down 5-10 spots and takes Staley while getting much need picks. Quinn will be gone by the third pick so forget about him. Staley, Kahil, Sears......all could be Dolphins with the extra picks we'd get by trading down. Our OL would be inexperienced but uber-talented. And I trust Hudson Haouck to mold them quickly into a cohessive unit.

Go Fins!

i agree...but only if we trade down is when we should pick him up...plus i think our pick could get a few suitors who want to move up and pickup Landry or Nelson

I agree whole heartedly. It will cost too much to move up for Thomas or Quinn and we really need a solid LT. Staley would be an excellent pick, plus give us additional picks for more quality.

ya he looks good. really good but i heard he gets pounded ude to lack of strenght.

not so fast ...
New England looks like ther making a hard drive for the super bowl and they do have the #24 AND #28 PICKS AVAILABLE TO TRADE if they want Staley
that bad and it looks like they have arranged for him to visit and have a private work out.

If they feel he is the last piece in there super bowl puzzle then be prepared to have to fight to get Staley.

i doubt thats a concern. we have QB concerns right now and LT should be 2nd. plus they are extremely high on Nelson as well.

I love your idea of trading down and getting some more picks. We could use another quality OG and C and another LT. Like Mueller said, we need quantity right now. I've got us taking two other LT's in later rounds that I think could be sleepers.

GO PHINS~!
