The Mock Draft King now has us Taking Gholston.

Bill Parcells won his first Super Bowl ring with a relentless pass rush.
The linebacker-driven 3-4 scheme of his New York Giants finished second in the NFL in sacks in 1986 with 59. Lawrence Taylor led the league with 20½ sacks on the way to being named the NFL's Most Valuable Player.
Now that Parcells is running the show with the Miami Dolphins, he wants to have the first overall selection in the 2008 NFL draft under contract before he makes the selection April 26.

err, Gholston will be quite the player, but idk if i see him going #1 overall.

i was thinking, what if Vernon Carey moved to Guard, and BP drafted Jake Long #1 overall, and at #32 he drafted Gosder Cherilus to play the other OT spot.....OR he could try to play Gosder as an OG....then draft a TE, WR....and ur offense is set for years to come. that is, if he isnt impressed with Drew Mormino at OG.

i think BP focused on the defense in FA's quite a bit, and we have many needs on our offense, i think BP is gonna focus A LOT on offense in the first 3-4 rounds.

Thats one option, or lets assume Gholston is the pick, Carey stays at left tackle, draft Cherlius at 32 to play RT?

Why would you move Carey to guard when he's proven to be a brilliant left tackles?

If we are going with Gholston or Long, I fully expect a 2nd round OT to be taken for RT.

carey is a natural guard

not sure why everyone has cooled on the idea of getting a proven playmaker in chris long. I don't think we should focus specifically on offense or defense, just get the best players available. With 2a we could go dan connor or kenny philips. not a bad haul with those first two picks.
