• Though Ricky Williams is eligible for immediate reinstatement, the NFL is proceeding slowly on the matter while still regularly drug-testing him. The Williams camp doesn't expect a ruling until closer to June.

• Mueller last week again declined to say if the team wants Williams back, and he hasn't informed Williams, either. The Dolphins say not to read into the fact his locker was given to Lorenzo Booker, though that raised eyebrows. link at bootom of page http://www.miamiherald.com/616/story/100623.html

Williams isn't in the locker room, and Booker needed a locker. No big deal IMO.

It is truely that simple, amazing how bored some must be to blow this out of proportion.

i dont see why godell wont let him back in the league. he did what was asked of him, did he not? i hope he comes back, we will be a playoff team again..

I'm still furious about many threads telling he was going to be pleaded not guilty, that he was going to keep running for us.
That was more than a year ago.
But he got suspended, and today his return depends of a man who may allow him considering he has paid for that or he may say no after evaluating Williams as a bad image for the league.

You know there is a good chance that Goodell may not let him back in the league. So....

Prepare yourself for the worst. :rolleyes2

Personally I can't see this happening. While what he did was awful, and against NFL rules, he still didn't hurt anyone but himself by his smoking marajauna. However Packman Jones has had at least 10 run-ins with the police. 5 of those involving fire-arms, and he got a one-year suspension and no one if expecting him to be kicked out, or Goodell would have just gone ahead and kicked him out last week.

Certainly Packman Jones has done far worse, and isn't out, so I don't think Ricky gets kicked out for good unless he screws up again...then league policy states he's gone for life.....Goodell doesn't even have to make a decision then.

I have been thinking the same. I think there is a very good chance Goodell wont let him come back

i just hope that he comes back and plays a good few more seasons for us he can blow games wide open and absolutely annihilate opposing defences, we really would benefit hugely with having him back on our team.

That would be a mistake by Goodell and certainly unprecedented. By all the appearances, he's served his time and abided by the rules since his suspension began. Think of it, providing there have been no breaches of the drug testing, he's been 'clean' since December of 2006, nearly 18 months ago. The issues surrounding Pacman and others are far more damaging to the league than Williams issues. Certainly so, if as the media reported, that his last infraction was an herbal tea of some sort that contained a banned substance that he didn't know about. Either way, with this last infraction, he did not break the laws of the land, just of the league and supposedly unknowingly. Whether or not he is back with the Fins or not is not the issue here, he deserves the opportunity to earn a living in the NFL, IF he's been clean and abided by their reinstatement rules.

Based on Ricky's mockery of the NFL substance abuse testing at the time of his 3rd violation, it would not suprise me if he decides not to allow Ricky back.

"While the appeal was pending, Williams said he continued smoking marijuana while on tour with rocker Lenny Kravitz in Europe and failed a third test upon his return. He said he had been using a masking agent to cleanse his system while being randomly tested for two seasons, but said he didn't even bother before the last such test after returning from Europe."

Why would the league make him continually jump through hoops (drug testing) if after he passed all their criteria they would deny him? With everything that's going on in the league Ricky is a positive if you take the time to look at how's he's changed.

I have a gut feeling that RW wont be back with the Fins, I dont know exactly why but it seems to me that the FO is going to let him go. I surely hope I am wrong on this one, becuase I would love to see RW back in a fins uniform.
