Met Rickey on Sunday at the Marriot in Cleveland, where the team stayed, asked for an auto, he took my ball and pen. I said "welcome back" he looked at me with a blank stare and said "welcome back from where?" in his timid voice. I said from your year off. At that moment another player came and grabbed him and said " you were supposed to be on bus #1, that's gone, they're now loading bus #3". He looked at me and said, like a little kid, "I gotta go" handed me my ball and sharpie and then left. Never signed it. Real weird. he must be pumped up on some seriously strong meds. He was dressed really weird also, kinda looked like Cat Stevens.

:rofl3: That 'bout sums it up, dosen't it?

As long as he can carry the rock and cross the goal line it doesn't matter.

tht is by far the strangest story ive ever heard:lol:

assuming its real(dont worry im not accusing him of lying)

Got alot of auto's this weekend, Jason, D Bo, Chambers, Clayton, Duper, M Morris, Jim Kick, Paul Warfield, Vernon Carey, Huizenga, Eddie Debardalo JR, Roy Foster, A.J,

He was the LAST player to come down from up in the rooms. It was pouring down rain at the time so the players got stuck in the lobby. There were a few hotel employees taking the players, one by one, to the bus' under umbrellas. Kinda funny, some of the bigger linemen barley fit under the umbrellas alone, let alone with another person.

Was a huge Ricky fan and hope he gets the fire back to play because he could still be great, but if he is playing for all the wrong reasons he will fizzle out and be a dud. Just from watching the interviews and see him on the sidelines he just doesn't seem to being having fun. This concerns me and my expectations of him for this year are very low. If Ronnie can come in and show he belongs he should have no problems getting playing time because I don't think Ricky will be anywhere close to what he was. Hope I am wrong but his body language shows something totally different than the stuff he says in interview and press conferences.

You know who RW reminds me of? Eddie Vedder. Remember how carefree and happy Eddie used to be when Pearl Jam busted on the scene about 15 years ago? As soon as they hit fame and fortune, Eddie crossed his arms and clamed up and became this deep person. He quit crowd surfin and jumping around on stage. Same thing with Ricky imo.

Did he smell like reefer?
:rofl3: No, but he sure seemed in another world. When he asked me "welcome back from where?" I should have said.. Jupiter. When the other player grabbed him away it was almost as if they were trying to keep him from saying something even more stupid to me.
