Rickey is a space cadet

Because youre talking about Cat Stevens and getting off topic

I hadn't realised there were rules about discussion. Discussion evolves. Should we continue to talk about how Ricky is a space cadet? Eventually the topic has to change. It is human nature.

Off Topic
Added: May 01, 2002 - Please keep posts where they belong. If you wish to talk about politics for example, please post it in Political | War Forum. If you wish to talk about other NFL teams, post it in "General NFL." And, of course, if you wish to talk about YOUR MIAMI DOLPHINS, post it in the Miami Dolphins forum! If an Admin or Mod find that you have posted an off topic post, it will be moved to the appropriate forum.

Appears to be forum related topics, which I understand. But if the point of a discussion changes, I think there is nothing wrong with that.

Was a huge Ricky fan and hope he gets the fire back to play because he could still be great, but if he is playing for all the wrong reasons he will fizzle out and be a dud. Just from watching the interviews and see him on the sidelines he just doesn't seem to being having fun. This concerns me and my expectations of him for this year are very low. If Ronnie can come in and show he belongs he should have no problems getting playing time because I don't think Ricky will be anywhere close to what he was. Hope I am wrong but his body language shows something totally different than the stuff he says in interview and press conferences.

But he has always been .... umm... mellow at interviews. Never was a pumped up rah rah kinda guy really. I think he is being extra guarded in his responses to the press, more than usual even. Probably because it is such a delicate situation. I sure hope for the team and for his own personal well-being that he doesn't make a fool of himself on the field.

:rofl3: No, but he sure seemed in another world. When he asked me "welcome back from where?" I should have said.. Jupiter. When the other player grabbed him away it was almost as if they were trying to keep him from saying something even more stupid to me.

This is classic!

Anyone seen that scene from Forrest Gump when he's playing football for Alabama?

Forrest is standing on the field staring into space like a zombie, a guy receives the kickoff, runs it back to him and yells RUN FORREST causing him to snap back into reality and take off runnin.

That seems like such a believable scenario with Ricky back.

Met Rickey on Sunday at the Marriot in Cleveland, where the team stayed, asked for an auto, he took my ball and pen. I said "welcome back" he looked at me with a blank stare and said "welcome back from where?" in his timid voice. I said from your year off. At that moment another player came and grabbed him and said " you were supposed to be on bus #1, that's gone, they're now loading bus #3". He looked at me and said, like a little kid, "I gotta go" handed me my ball and sharpie and then left. Never signed it. Real weird. he must be pumped up on some seriously strong meds. He was dressed really weird also, kinda looked like Cat Stevens.

D*mnit I knew they stayed there.......... as I was leaving my room and out the hotel I saw Manny Wright and a few others. I asked the front desk, but they wouldn't confirm.
