Ok, I don't understand how Ricky could possibly be able to earn more than the veteran's minimum...I thought we were giving him a chance because he defaulted his contract and if he plays for us this season we can forget about the 8.6 million he owes us..But now, not only he wants to come back weighing 200 pounds, but also he wants a multi-million dollar contract.

In my opinion, his heart is not into football, he is in for the money...Remember he has 8.6 million reasons to come back...

Any opinions out there?

The guy is dead broke so hes comin to get money from Miami. If he is not happy tell him to go elsewhere cuz he don't belong here. Pot head

of course hes comming back for the money. not the new money he will be paid, but to erase what he is said to owe. he stopped playing football becuase he didnt want to do it anymore. thats why he retired. he tried to retire with the saints, but they were smart enough to trade him for 2 1st rounders.

most players who retire are allowed to go, the fins in there anger and blame said FU** ricky, we will take all his money back. knowing he doesnt have it. they only want him back so they dont loose a very talented asset.

i dont see where this is going. do the fins expect him to run for 1800 yards again? do they expect to trade him to another team for a high draft pick?

he doesnt want to be there, we all know it. hes not comming back for the money, hes comming back cus hes left with very few options. and if the team is trying to force him to play, than he might as well try to get some money for playing.

there is no way the fins will get that 8+ million, there is no way ricky, in this situation, that ricky will be liek he was.

just let him go and move on. he played great, and made the fins A LOT of money while he was here. he earned his money while playing for the saints, and fins. just let him fade away.

Why do you go to work? Because you love your job or do you have bills to pay?

This is different in Sports...You need to have a passion to play sports for any team. If your heart is not into it, then you are in the wrong business.

this just in: most players play for the money. prime example: edge

Edge said that woow i thought the guy was a ream player and a player that playd for heart. I do never wanna see Edge in a Dolphins uni if it ever would happen. Shame on u Edge. I am happy now that Peyton doesnt feed u the ball u Cold hearted BA$TARD

First of all, we're not the only people Ricky owes money to. Let's say we forgive his $8 million dollar debt. Fine. That's not going to pay his multimillion dollar debt to other parties beyond the team.

Second, Ricky isn't making demands. His agent simply responded to a question Jason Cole asked him.

Third, who DOESN"T play for the money? Terrell Owens will likely be holding out because he wants to make more money than the contract he signed off on a year ago. Is he being demonized? No! All players play for the money.

Finally ... Ricky will end up playing for an incentive-laden contract that pays above the vet minimum base -- but barely. That's fair. If he ends up meeeting his incentive clauses, I don't think we'll have any room to complain.

But stop making the knee-jerk reaction that Ricky is demanding more money. He's not. He hasn't said anything about money.

You don't think Ricky has a LITTLE bit of passion to prove all the haters wrong? I disagree.

Says who? Every player is playing for the money. The only thing they have a passion for is getting paid.
