All this trade talk about Ricky is silly. He is not going anywhere.

"After the exhibition game against Jacksonville, when Williams showed off some of his old form, he turned to a reporter and said, ``Do you really think I'm going to be traded after this season?''

In so many words, the reporter said that appeared to be the most logical scenario. Given the investment the Dolphins are about to make in rookie running back Ronnie Brown and given Williams' need to play if he hopes to make more money in the next few years, staying with the Dolphins seems unlikely.

Williams understood all the points. Still, he had a slight frown at the thought.

''I really don't care about the stats or the money. I really like the idea of going through the process of what we're trying to do here,'' he said."

So please enough of the trade Ricky talk. He wants to stay here and Saban is a smart man. He knows a Ricky/Ronnie backfield would be the best in the NFL. Maybe the best ever.

true..

I agree with you. Only way I see Ricky leaving is if we get a very good QB in the deal. but I would like to see the damage ricky and ronnine can do together.

Another Ricky thread.

The Dolphins should change their names to the Miami Williams or the Miami Feeleys.

But yea I agree, I don't think he'll be traded.

We might be able to be very successful with even mediocre QB play if Ronnie turns out to be what we all hope and Ricky is truly that dedicated!

He has not other place to go

The only other team that he wanted to go to was Oakland and i dont think he wants to go there now with JOrdan there now. At least here he knows he will split the load with Ronnie. Plus im sure he doenst want to go to a team that will abuse him like Wansuck did. Here he knows that they have another capable runnin back so it wont be so tuff on him.

our backfield is immediately feared in the NFL...if we can get the offensive line together...

That's a great thing, if he doesnt care about the money or the stats. That means we really have no reason to get rid of him unless we get a big trade offer.

I don't know about the immediate part But I agree by week 6 defenses won't want no part of our ground game.I believe we have a chance at something really special here with our backfield I pray saban give's it a chance.Got wood just thinking about it.

So because Ricky sort of hints at staying, that means Saban will automatically not trade him? I tend to think not.
