ricky quiting a good thing?

i blame our coaching staff for the whole ricky thing....we didn't use him right and let him stay unhappy for too long.....granted he lost alot of respect for what he did but the more i see and hear of wanny's blunders the more it becomes apparent of why he quit.

in fact if wanny/jay are gone after this year i wouldn't doubt ricky coming back to us...i really think ricky was fragile mentally and we were running him into the ground..norv turner couldn't call any other plays because jay was so weak...i dunno just some thoughts from me

He may try to come back, but his teammates wouldnt accept him back, and the fans definately wouldnt (next time he shows his face in S. Florida, a lynch mob is gonna form somewhere, lol). If he ever stepped on the field for in a Fins uni again, the fans would boo him unmercifully and would lose all respect for the orginization because they let him back. And all this talk about him being "mentally fragile" doesnt excuse him abandoning his team go to smoke weed, thats unforgiveable.

I was thinking about how ricky quit on us and i am starting to think it was a good thing and here is why.

1.if ricky did not retire jay would still have his job we would have not had to throw the ball as much against tenn, jay showed he could not make the plays

2. with ricky we were to conservitive, we have no choice but to throw now

3. I think we still have o-gun holding out if ricky is still here ill take the cheeper booker over o-gun i am glad we did not overpay for o-gun

4. ricky opened up cap room to lock up chambers for life

bottom line is we might have beaten tenn with ricky but honestly we were not going to the superbowl with feidler no matter if walter payton was are running back ill take feely and gordon/morris over feidler and ricky. in the long run we will be ok screw ricky let him rot in his tent!
YES :fire: :fire: :fire:
WE DO NOT NEED PEOPLE LIKE HIM :goof: :goof: :goof:

Ricky quiting is not a good thing are you crazy? We're a SB contender with him...Under the same set of circumstances Peyton Manning quiting would be good for the Colts, Ray Lewis quiting would be good for the Ravens. Losing THE FRANCHISE player is not good for any team. If Ricky's on this team we're an 11 win team atleast without him, we'll have to see.
Yeah, some Super Bowl team:rolleyes: ...Do you realize Ricky NEVER made the playoffs in his 5 years in the league?...NEVER. Enuff said...we're better without his punk ***.

Ricky made the playoffs with New Orleans i believe in his 3rd season. Logically how can this team be better without him? He was the best RB in the NFL, I know alot of people will say Priest or Ladainian, but Ricky carried this offense, and while the offense wasn't great it wasn't because of him. His 2002 numbers we're ridiculous, I was at the game in Buffalo where he had like 218 yds and we still lost, his numbers dropped last season but that was more an indication of how terrible our line was, this guy had to break 3 tackles to get back to the line of scrimmage. Hate Ricky for leaving the organization, but we're a better team with a proven RB on this roster because alot of fans have high hopes for Lamar Gordon but he will not be the starting RB in '05, He can go off vs the bad teams but this team needs to go after a difference maker at RB if we're not gonna bring in a stud qb, And AJ might prove he is a starter in this league but right now, and looking back we do get to see some things that maybe couldn't of been guranteed, there were better options to go after for a QB. Cedric Benson if available when Miami picks in the draft should be taken regardless....

Yea your right I forgot about all of the yards he racked up in the playoffs. :)

He was unstoppable in the AFC championship game too.
its not his fault we didnt have a QB to help him out, stop being a hater

if losing ricky was good because it will make us have to pass more and gave us cap space then lets hope JT retires. our offense will have to score more and to do that they will have to pass. and we will have cap room too.

I don't know how many players will be back next season if this team does not win 10 games. I don't expect Ricky to be a dolphin next season, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is.

"Stop being a hater"

Stop bein a dork..

Like it or not Fiedler took us to the playoffs so ya cant put it all on the QB and you cant put it all on RW like you may have thought I said. What i meant was the 3000 or so yards he got didnt get us anywhere so why lament over it.

Anyway what im sayin is i liked RW as an athelete and what he could do for this team runnin and catchin the ball but I really never truley respected him as a person and I would never have called him my favorite player or 2nd or 3rd..What he did to this team a week before training camp solidified my reasoning for not really liking the guy.. That being said, I feel what a person brings to the team in terms of cohesion and karma is more important than a big name or one great year.. I see someone like Gordon having a bigger impact on this team than RW did even if he doesnt rush for 1800 yards.

See, Williams is the anti-Fiedler. Fiedler lacks the talent and his ability limits his play, but hes smart, a leader and a true competitor and wouldn't sell out like Williams did.

I see what everyone is saying that you cant lose your feature back and make it seem like it was a good thing, but i think when it comes to the overly eccentric Williams, something has to tell you.. "Maybe this IS better for the team".. especially for the team's future.

I would, i think Wayne Huizenga has more self-respect than that.
Trade his butt to Oakland to be with Norv Turner, and get some high draft picks so we can draft a quarterback, and depth to this roster!

The only silver lining I see out of Ricky quitting when he did is that it's better than quitting, say, in Week 10, when all the options for replacing him/revamping the system are long gone. His head simply wasn't into playing anymore, and I'd rather he leave earlier than later.

Irrespective of when he left, it was still a classless, selfish act on his part.
