So why is this happening?

"We knew they weren't going to run the ball," Atlanta safety Keion Carpenter said. "These guys are two great backs, and you know they aren't going to have one of them blocking. That's one of the tips we had coming in."

Sure enough, a Falcons stat after their 17-10 win showed that Ronnie and Ricky were in the backfield together nine times this game. In eight of those, the Dolphins passed the ball. Including this crucial, confounding one."

Even D. Johnston was saying that during his playcall.

I think they should take Vermeil's advice, just split the series' between Ricky and Ronnie and get away from trying to have both of them in there. It hasn't worked yet. I would have loved to have seen them put in that new monster fullback and then they could have either run it or had a convincing play action pass.

another thing that I noticed in the game, is that in the majority of our running plays, a WR would jog closer to the o-line.....

if i am predicting the plays before they happen, god knows the falcons were!

Thats pretty pathetic and disappointing to know it was that obvious. Thats one thing that will change. :(

I see some people are starting to come around. Dont believe all the Gus talk. He should have never been running that play. Not that Gus should be passing at all. I am ready for Sage. I dont think that will happen though.

Just run the rock. With two rocks!

Good find, it seems we will have to mix it up more on offense. I would like to point out though that Scott has adapted the offense as the year has gone on. Early on this season we were very pass happy, now we are runing the ball much more and in the last game actually ran the ball 24 times and passed it 22 with one rush by Gus for a negitive yard which I assume was on a pass play. I think the gameplans are being adapted as the season goes on to fit the things this team is good at and Linahan will be a good OC for us. I just wish we had run it on that 3rd and 2.

I think they should just take 1 series at a time. Im not a big fan of when their in at the same time, although it does create somewhat of a "diversion" of the other team asking themselves if they are throwing or passing the ball.
