first of all im new to the board and im ahuge dolphin fan like all of you and its nice to be able to talk about the fins with all of u great fans, thanx,,,,now to my point, I think ricky hurt us again becuz he waited till after the draft to make it official he was coming back,i think if he would of made this statement before the draft we could of got someone like braylon edwards or a cornerback like pacman or rolle, and not of waster our pick on a RB, but i may be wrong but thats how i think he hurt us again

Most of the people on this board want Williams, and most of those same people will say we are glad that we drafted Ronnie Brown. Why? Because Ronnie is one helluva back. Also, you never know if Ricky will change his mind again or maybe Saban has plans to trade him later. Also, having them both on the field at the same time will create serious problems for the opposing defenses. Ronnie and Ricky are both very talented when it comes to running, catching and blocking.
Should Ricky come back then decide to leave again, we still have Ronnie. There is so little to lose and lots to gain by having Ricky come back to the Dolphins. Especially sice we won't be paying him starting RB money.

If Ricky had anounced it before the draft, 1) he would have to sit out a season, rather than only 4 games. 2) who would believe him until he has the uniform on again? So Saban would still need to fill that very important offensive gap... Plus, how do we know he will come back in the form in which he left?

Ricky coming back, adds to the backfield arsenal, but I'm very happy Ronnie is back there.. At least I think I can count on him to show up for the games...

I think respect between teammates to be a big factor in a teams success. I can't see the rookies respecting Ricky, and I can't see the vets trusting Ricky.

Ricky has already stated he has 1-2 years left in him. I've supported him since he left, but he's just not someone you can count on.

I believe Ricky and Saban both only expect Ricky to play Football for only 2-3 more seasons.

He still would have taken Brown. Brown is the future. Ricky is just value Saban can use for a couple years to help ease Ronnie into the league.

I'm listening to 790 am as I write this and the guy thats reporting RS will be released also reported that Ricky has not made one demand and all the reports coming out about the money is just posturing. He went on to say he has no idead where the money issue came from. He said Ricky does have a few mouths to feed but Ricky himself has not made any demands on how much he wants to be paid.

Why everyone refuses to remember that Saban won't allow anything to be passed through the media unless he lets it leak, is beyond me. Saban hasn't said one word about Ricky's money except that Ricky would return at the vet minimum. Thats it that's all. The Media wants to sell papaers and will say and do anything to make that happen. Until Saban says with his own mouth that Ricky is making contract demands I wouldn't believe a word I read on any forum or news source, It's that simple.

Even if he does come back, Im still glad we got Ronnie Brown. I think he is the future of the Miami Dolphins.

is it july yet? oh just more speculation on ricky, I will give you a break this is your first thread. but just a heads up a ricky thread is started every hour it seems like around here. :)

hey NJfinfan why did you have to post that statement about the thread...there was no need for that

It's just frustration. Some of us actually don't want him back.

you have no way of knowing what condition ricky is in right now. some argue he may be cut in training camp. others say he will run for 1800 yards this season.. :rofl3:

i think the fins should have still chosen Brown, even if Ricky said he was comming back befor the draft.

who else would you have picked?? a bum of a QB who fell to 25 :rofl3: :rofl3:

Having two stud RBs is not a problem. In fact, it is important in today's NFL where injuries happen frequently. Additionally, we have no guarantee that Ronnie Brown can play at the NFL level yet. I know I am concerned about it.

I welcome Ricky back.
