Ricky starting on new depth chart

"The receivers seem set with Ted Ginn Jr., Derek Hagan, Ernest Wilford, Greg Camarillo and rookie Davone Bess, who displayed his versatility by returning five punts for an average of 10.6 yards. Impressive rookie Anthony Armstrong will stick if they keep six receivers."

...and the Wes Welker similarities continue. UDFA, great hands, good route runner, establishes himself as a punt-returner.

the end of your post here on the JETS... got me laughing and mad pumped for the season!!! enjoy the games!!!

That sounds reasonable, but we know what that means....

...bad news for the Jets!

im not gonna lie fellas im a little dissapointed about this. im a big time ronnie brown fan and im upset. i have a big time question for some of u guys and i need a little advice, i have both ricky and ronnie on my fantasy team and i have no idea who 2 start now , i would think ricky because he is the starter but i get 1 point every reception so that also make me think that even if brown is the back up he will still get me points with his catching skills. what do u guys think

Option number 3... Pick up another reliable running back. Between Ronnie Brown and his injuries and Ricky Williams and his ganja, I would strongly advise a good insurance policy for both.. Plus neither will maximize your value if they are splitting carries.

its only week one... i would start ricky for now, if you have a flex spot for an extra RB/WR... why not throw ronnie brown in that for fun!!!

i do have a flex and thats what i was thinking .im sorry 2 take this off topic but i respect your advice so whould u guys consider sitting both ronnie and ricky and starting javon walker or tedd ginn or just go with ronnie or ricky as my flex

i going to have a little fun and go ricky starting ronnie my flex... i so pumped for the game, to see if they can both bust it up on the JETS... :)

Yeah it's like hagving Jones Drew and Fred Taylor.

Gow ith Ricky. He is the starter. They are supposed to split carries, Ricky should get a few more though.

However, if Ricky starts off hot then chances are that Ronnie Brown will get very minimal action.

So in Week 1 Ricky is a very good bet.

I honestly believe that as long as Ricky runs well Ronnie will be used very minimally in an effort to let him heal.

Ricky IMO will also be used more in goal line situations

Not surprised to see Ricky starting early on with Ronnie still recovering. But I don't expect to see Ricky starting once Ronnie is back healthy.

I was a little disappointed to hear that Ricky will be starting over Ronnie, but it might be good for Ronnie to not have to get too many carries while he's still recovering.

IF he can stay healthy, Ricky will start over Ronnie all year. I also suspect he'll get all the goalline. He's just been a better runningback on every level, and it's not even close. Ricky was a Heisman Trophy winner, Ronnie Brown wasn't even the best runningback on his own team. Ricky has had a 1,800 season. Ronnie has had a good 6 weeks.
